Tinplate Toddler BigDaddy I never saw anyone workout in a sweater before. After a surpringly long time, she worked up a sweat and shed the sweater and the hat, revealing psychedelic purple hair. She had an athletic body with some after market parts you won't see in a Walthers catalog. I guess I'm not a fan of psychedelic colored hair. I have never understood why so many women undertake just about anything possible to make themselves look as ugly as can be.

Look at me, Look at me. The starvation for attention. Past neglect perhaps, probably that's what it is.
I've seen plenty of that around my neck of the woods. I somewhat understand thier reasoning for it but will never know the reasons that triggered it from their past
Nicky at Judy's work has the wild purple hair. I always stop to talk to her after dropping Judy off. I can tell it makes her feel happy. I even talk to strangers with the wild colored hair. I see their blank faces turn to a smile.
There is usually something wrong with those people. There's a little something wrong with all of us for that matter. Fortunately for most of us it isn't that bad.

GMTRacingFirst it was wingtips with Levis
I remember wingtips, which I found extremely uncomfortable and that they never broke in. Pegged pants I had to google. I would never get my big feet through those pants cuffs.

In Baltimore we didn't have Dick Clark, we had the Buddy Dean Show. Teens would dance on TV, with the guys wearing sports coats. He also hosted local "record hops" He had Buddy Holly appear live and there were these Baltimore kids in their church dress, staring warily at the band, getting ready wearing cowboy boots.

Good Evening All,
It's not so hard to understand Ulrich. We all want to be different even though growing up we tried so hard we all ended up looking similarly. First it was wingtips with Levis, then pegged pants (I could fit them on back then) then wide striped dress shirts (thank you Beach Boys) then later wide wale courderoys and then.. well you get the idea. Colored hair is just the latest and fortunately hair grows out after a while unlike more permanent tatoos. I do remember some of the school board being scandalized when our student representative showed up with green hair in the Eighties. See above. It's just a desire to be noticed like working out in a sweater.
Onward and upward. Ciao, J.R.

Jan I am very sorry to hear about your diagnosis.

BigDaddyIt is very frustrating to click on a thread and not see it for 3 hours or until the next morning. I hope we don't lose members before the update gets here.
I joined over 10 years ago and while the forum software was sometimes a bit quirky, it worked. Since a couple of years, entering this place has turned into a hit or miss thing, which is very frustrating. I think we already have lost quite a few members and we will continue to lose more - not only due to the access issue.
Happy times!

I do not remember forum problems like we have been had this year. It is very frustrating to click on a thread and not see it for 3 hours or until the next morning. I hope we don't lose members before the update gets here.
I'll point out Edsel Ford owns 1 million shares of stock, that was worth 4 times as much 20 years ago. Elon Musk owns 19% of Tesla. Ferrari has been one of the best performing auto stock the last couple years
Today at the gym there was a woman sitting on the bench press bench on her cell phone, well looking at her cell phone, not taking. Eventually she did lift the weights. She was wearing a stocking cap, a sweater extending beyond her caboose and fleece line boots about 8" high.

Tinplate Toddler The forum apparently took a lengthy downtime - I kept on getting this funny message: hon30critter that at one time CP did span the world, although not entirely by rail. Indeed, indeed. CP once owned the big hotel tower close to Hamburg´s Dammtor train station. It is now owned by the Radisson group.

Ulrich, I got that same exact critical error page starting just after 6 last night and still there this morning. I wondered if it was just me. I had to grab Judy's phone and it went to the same critical error page so I knew it was across the board.
I never knew CP was worldwide as Dave noted. There's definitely more to CP than meets the eye.

Good morning, everyone.
We are continuing to clean the house and make grocery lists for Christmas.
Some people dread it. I love it. The excitement of Christmas coming is something I wait for each year. This is the one time of year when I don't mind going shopping. I find that in spite of popular thinking, almost everyone I meet in stores is in a good mood and enjoying the season. I even enjoying sticking cash into the Salvation Army red kettles each time I go to the store.
Hope everyone has a good day.

Well Brother Lion, I guess this is something else you and I will just have to disagree on. Yes I do know about stockholders, but we are worlds apart in our beliefs (and yes that evidently includes some other topics). I tend to care about those who are the ones who have little because of the others in this world....
I do wish you a blessed holiday and a good new year.

howmusBut... Since most if not all car companies are owned pretty much by the rich and I really am not able to walk everywhere... I'd still rather drive electric which I make on the roof of my house at least (and what I don't make is purchased from a Green ESCO) I still would rather have a Tesla. Not happy with some things (which I will not go into here) with several Auto Makers at the moment. Already told the Car Dealer where I bought the car I drive now, that I will never buy another of their cars due to some decisions made by the car maker this last year... 'nuff said!

I absolutely didn't mean any offense to you. I just wanted to point out that at one time CP did span the world, although not entirely by rail.

Well, ..... Um, ..... I'm not so sure what to do with that one Dave. I was somehow convinced this was a funny thing here??? And I still think it's funny.

But CP is already electrified like every other Railroad....... Diesel Electric Brent....... right?
Maybe a little touch up on the artwork and you may have something.

Maybe "The Eager Beaver Delivers" might be a better fit

herrinchokerfound there were three tumors on my Thyroid, had biopsies done, and found out I have Cancer in all three---soooo waiting to be scheduled to have everything cut out. Wondered what I was going to do for excitement this winter. It is what it is--not going to worry about it, that doesn't change a thing. So there is serindipity in being triped by Agatha. I have had a good run though, 77 winters.
Oh, no! My prayers are with you.
If it's any consolation, I have a good friend, retired from BNSF, who had thyroid cancer. He had surgery and also had radiation. The treatment center is 50 miles away, so I drove him many days for the radiation.
The good news? He is completely healed. He gets a scan every several months, but the doctors say basically he will be finished with the scans soon, and considered cured. They told him that taking care of thyroid cancer is one of the great success stories in cancer treatment.
Here's hoping and praying for the same result for you.
That's all today, headed to granddaughter's school Christmas program. We're driving, so the trip will take a good part of the day.
Have a good Wednesday (early signing day for college football!).
