Another freight car load, please.

This one goes back a few years, but here's a freshly banded load of lumber.

More freight car loads.

Insert whatever story makes sense.

Sure would make a fine log skidder. Then use it for deer hunting on weekends?

Here, the crew is un-banding some steel slabs for unloading:

Show me a freight car with a load, please.

.

I have no explanation of this one. I saw it at a Tampa train show on a G scale display.

.

Apparently the Coal Creek Lumber Company bought a surplus 3/4 scale Panther tank in Ambush Camoflage for some reason. Insert whatever story makes sense. I cannot come up with one.

.

.

Show me another loaded freight car please.

.

The Paper Mill in Plattsburgh started as a junk enginehouse, I fixed it up and kitbashed it so one side is closed.

I don't know if an Athearn Blue Box caboose would be considered all that interesting, but I put a fair amount of work into it, including re-working the original diagonal-panel roof into an older style...

...and scratchbuilt the end railings and ladders...

Wayne

Show me something scratchbuilt or kitbashed, please.

Pre 1955, MEC cabooses were two shades of red - caboose red on the ends and boxcar red on the sides. From my layout

...Might make an interesting project, though the running gear would be a nightmare.

Why?  The running gear is just as exposed as it would be without the covering.

You could make an even more modern version by using the bodyshell of an F-unit or FA-unit (my preference), with, of course, a cut-out area for the cylinders and driveshafts.

You missed me Ed.

By three minutes Embarrassed sorry. I sold my only Shay about ten years ago.

I could use one of the "hooded" ones like the NYC used on the West Side of New York City.

I love Shays Timmy, my pocket knife souvenir has rivets.

More Shays please, New Year's Railfans.

And I almost forgot, you never show or gift a knife without a penny to not sever the friendship.

More shays please.
