 Eveing Diners

Flo, give the gang a Beer and I will have mine in the far booth so I won't get anyone sick.

I have had this crud sense last Wednesday and it is getting worst. Sigh If I feel like this Monday before work I am not going in.

Henry I did watch Ken Patterson latest podcast and knew Caboose did repairs from a other podcast. I was going to call today but I am way under the weather. and forgot.

I fell like Aqualung by Jethro Tull.

With that being said I am out of here.

NWP SWP

Good day folks,

Guys I apologize if my comments offended anyone.

Going to the club in a bit so bye for now!

NWP SWP ... No need to apologize, and please do not feel badly. I doubt anybody was offended. I suspect nobody wants to see you get in trouble with our host.

Train front .... I took apart the Lionel train tracks under the tree and put away the trains except for the Alaska locomotive. It needs repairs before it will run again. Another project to add to my work table .....  Meanwhile, I am working on the coal mine project whenever I have time for that.....

The Christmas tree is still up, and neither of us has had time to take it down yet.

I visited a train club today.  They had an open house, so I went.  They had O, HO and N layouts, plus some tinplate, S and Z.

I was thinking of joining a club, since I'm still without my own layout.

Thanks for resolving this weekend's political slip-up peacefully, fellows.

Seems like several people have had a rough time this weekend. Here, have some comfort food.

Good Afternoon!

Steven - thanks for the stew, I can sure use a bowl of hot stew today! It´s a miserable day, just wet and awkward. Had to see my doc about the renewal of the subscription for my heart meds and got drenched on my way from the parking lot to his place - and that´s a whopping 50 yards!

I went through some old files this afternoon and found a couple of drawings I made some years ago.

My Swiss friend Pascal has just sent a link to a video he made from today´s operating session:

I hear you Ulrich.... this weathered construction guy isn't about to walk down the Boulevard or through a parking lot with an umbrella either. At that point, I might as well put on a tutu and some tightsLaugh  No one's made of sugar, we don't melt.

PS   I like your train art too.  Nice,  well done.

What´s an umbrella? Never owned a contraption with a name like that! Laugh

The drawings were made using an old 2D track planning program.

In my neck of the woods, we don´t need an umbrella, we wear a "Frisian mink coat" to pretuct us from rain. They look like this:

With the wind we got here, an umbrella will stay not more than 5 seconds in your hand.

Happy times!

Morning folks,

Heres what I was working on yesterday evening at the MSMRC.

I spent two hours trying to get those sections of track straight and level, I got the siding straight but I dont know about level because I had to go home before I could get the switch put in.

I wanted to post the pictures last night but my internet is slower than dial up.

Heres a wide view of the whole project.

Yes yes, lighter in color maybe but still a beautiful yellow exterior.

You know,  I've never been a fan of any kind of shopping whatsoever but I got to admit this exterior weather apparel is not so bad. Not bad at allLaugh

Hello everybody,

Went to Addis and saw 4141 and 1943!

Steven:

Kewl.  We (wife and I) got to see the funeral train in person; along thousands of other folks trackside in College Station.  Sobering but uplifting to see a small piece of history.

Remember the tin can; the MKT's central Texas branch...

Now, now, gentlemen. The question was, what's an umbrella? It's a handy collapsible device used to fend off rain, snow, and pesky bats.

Now... you will all leave generous tips for the wait staff... Indifferent

A black hole, space travel.

Lion went on more of an intense vacation than just Duluth and WisconsinYes

PS.    Swing of things, ...really though, I think it was the solar eclipse not too long agoWink

PS.     We get two guesses now. If not the solar eclipse it could be the end of an oxy acetylene welding torch.

It's the distortion caused by taking a picture with ones cellphone of the sun or other source of bright light.

Could be some fireworks really distorted and out of focus too.

Just saw a picture that looked almost exactly like this one.  Netflix original series Luke Cage, season 2, episode 12, about 22 minutes in, hanging on the wall.

Good Evening, Crew! I finally found the gear for the Life-Like GP7 that went missing under my workbench and have everything back in place. Now I need to make certain the replacement axle gears are centered with the other drive gears in each truck and the wheels are set apart to the correct width using an NMRA gauge that's waiting for me in the mailbox. Today my wife clicked on a few links associated with something that she was looking at on Pinterest. It turned out that one of the links was to a scam website that automatically download malware called "PC Accelerator". Its well-known malware and there's a number of removal instructions on the web. What it does is embed itself on the computer registry. My anti-virus program alerted me to the malware and I had to first remove it as a program. After that, I ran the anti-malware program that cleared most of it from the registry. But there was another sneaky registry key with a bogus identifier that still allowed pop-ups. I deleted that key, too, and I think I removed it all. I downloaded a trial copy of Malarebytes and I'll run that during dinner to see if there are any other bits hiding in the registry. A full afternoon's work. Have a great evening, everybody! Smile, Wink & Grin

That nebula picture would be an out of focus LED.
