I'm not as far along as Peter with my powerhouse project:

This engine will drive the 25 cycle dynamo for powering the Hulett drives. The Walthers "Northern Power & Light" kit sure gets a lot of mileage.

I am not sure about the iconic part, but 3 buildings about the same vintage as Kevin's Atlas Roadside Cafe (looks like Howard Johnsons)

The Atlas ranch style house at right rear
The green Revell Suburban house; a clone of their farm house
The Revell school, a clone of their depot
All on my layout and all 3 from one of my 1960s layouts. All have had some restoration work done

Back in September I showed my new train room since nothing new in 24 hours I will give you an up date this is it to day 2 levels in an l the third section is tba then it will be 3 4 x 8 sections I’m using for the first time woodland scenic SubTerrain Lightweight Layout System® and moving passenger to the new table adding 2 tunnels on 2 levels a lot will happen in the  future .

Well, construction is still about a year away on the next STRATTON & GILLETTE layout, but here is a scene with some work going on. This is on Mr. Muffins new layout location in Atlanta, Indiana.

He was working very hard on this project while we were there. I'll be the rest of the scenery will be in very soon.

This is industry row Morton salt depot rail served Pepsi and Vetter sash &door rail served and Dakota cabinet  factory still under construction Morton salt won’t have a home till next month when track is laid down with turn out in place.
