That is strange Brent, I dunno!  I see it, and I see one for everybody else!

Don't know what to say!  I use Fire Fox, Windows 7 professional, if that means anything.

I can't see them either, and Mike why is there never a "reply" box on your post?

Am I the only one that can't see Countsrr's images?  I guess, as no one else has said anything.

I get a blue box that says:  imgbb.com image not found.

Love that photo Ed.

Thank you, Bear!

Still off topic: I know there were some BIG hot metal cars in the U.S. but maybe not as big as the Trix model in the photo.

Still there were some here that were "close enough"

Your covered hopper looks great, Bear! And, Many export cars were made by North American carbuilders and were shipped either to a port or to South America by rail so you DO have justification there.

I have a friend in Brazil that sent me some Frateschi Paulista passenger cars and an electric locomotive. I like to run them every now and then.

Sorry... I got carried away! (Off Topic!)

Now we return you to our regularly scheduled "Show Me"

Off Topic Love that photo Ed.

When my kids were young they gave me a Frateschi hopper kit, which I didn’t have the heart to tell them that it was of a Brazilian prototype but thanked them, and assembled the kit.
Some years later, a thread from Randy Rinker on kitbashing open hoppers to covered ones, which also contained doctorwaynes usual Good Tips, got me inspired to have a go, and from the Lachlan River Workshops came LRA 8009, which has now seen years of hard use in cement service!

If possible, more good stuff from family and or friends, please.

Cheers, the Bear.Smile

This little 4-window caboose was a gift from my daughter. Unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice.

More items from family and friends please.

When my daughter was eleven she made a stop motion video at school and this was a character I found on the layout one day after she had gone to school. I really liked it.

Show me something your kid gave you that is train related.

BRVRR
I really like your NYC Pacemaker caboose. Scratch built or kit?

Thanks, Allan!

They are kind of awkward looking as far as cabooses go. It is an Overland brass model that I picked up at the Berea train show for a song. (actually I can't sing, maybe the seller gave it to me cheap to make me go away!) I painted it and lettered it with CDS dry transfers IIRC.

Show me another caboose that is not a standard design

New York Central had only five of these home-made Pacemaker cabooses built on frames from old box cars:

IN the 1960s, MEC had a shortage of cabooses, and converted a number of old 40' boxcars into cabooses. I kitbashed MEC 646 from an Athearn BB 40' boxcar and a wide vision caboose.
