A 2015 Christmas gift from my wife.  Athearn RTR WSOR SD40-2.  Still have a few more details I want to add, along with a crew.

Lets see more goodies from the wife, or other family members!

Show me something else that your other half bought for the layout that you would never have bought yourself!

My beautiful wife bought me both these Atlas Gold Trainmasters about a year apart. She was coming home and for no reason pulled into PWRS and they know what I like.

A year later I mentioned that I need one with a steam generator in it for my Passenger train, so she came home with one that had the engine number that was equipped with the steam generator in it. What a Gal!

More other half goodies please.

But for the life of me when you go insert pictures unlike the old one, I can’t figure it out the only thing I know it to put the link.

When I use Flickr to post photos here I don't use the M-R "Insert Photo" box. Simply copy and paste the "BB Code" from your Flickr "Share" menu.

 MR_Photo1 by Edmund, on Flickr

Select the photo you want to show then click the "Share" arrow:

 MR_Photo2 by Edmund, on Flickr

When this box appears go to the BB Code tab and pick the size you want to show.

(The M-R Forum seems to automatically re-size photos. I usually have 1024 wide selected)

 I use crtl>C and crtl>V to copy/paste:

 MR_Photo3 by Edmund, on Flickr

Once the image is pasted into your reply it will look like this. The photo won't show. Some of the others that post from Flickr here modify the link to remove the ID tag at the bottom of the photo but Flickr says they do not want you to do this... so I dont.

YMMV — Good Luck, Ed

Ok the reason you can’t see pictures is I’m now on Flickr. But for the life of me when you go insert pictures unlike the old one, I can’t figure it out the only thing I know it to put the link.

So here is the picture I just got my passenger cars running now I’m putting freight in side the passenger lines a dual train, side by side.

A recent addition was this little service truck my wife bought me.

.

I would never have bought it because it says "UNION PACIFIC" on the door, but I am thrilled when my other half gets involved with my hobby in any way. I love this little truck.

Show me something else that your other half bought for the layout that you would never have bought yourself!

I added this Frisco E8 recently. I intend to change it to the NYC Jade Green color scheme soon.

Here is the same model (shell) after stripping and prime painting. Sorry for the poor photo.

More recent acquisitions please.

OK, a recent addition to my layout, this Case 988 wheeled excavator.

I added the hydraulic lines, air filter and exhaust pipe, along with giving it a used look.

I don't know what to say about part of my post missing, along with the reply button.  I had lots of troubles right after this forum went through it's changes a couple of years ago, or was it longer Confused.  Anyway, no problems looking at anybodies post since.

I had to do a search, but it looks like AMTRAK is the only one that didn't put on the front handrails?

Lets continue on with a recent addition to your layout or roster!

Mike.

Lone Wolf and Santa Fe
Please show me something you recently acquired.

I'm pretty sure this is the most recent request Confused

I have a soft spot for these Amtrak SDP-45s. I rode behind them on the Lakeshore Limited a few times.

 Amtrak_SDP2 by Edmund, on Flickr

Believe it or not... two of my B&O Wagontops were in one of the shots!

 Amtrak_SDP by Edmund, on Flickr

The farther one is an Overland brass model, bought before I ever thought they would be done in plastic. The Spring Mills one is every bit as good for 25% of the cost!

The right side always gets chopped off any of Mike's posts for me. Dunno' why?

The blue caboose image in Countsrr's reply is OK but the second one is only a blue imgr box saying image not found? Welcome to the internet Whistling

Henry,

You are correct.................That was my original thought.

They produced 3 cabesse, in three colors, red, blue and yellow. I bought the red and blue and as you might expect it was the yellow whose price on eBay skyrocketed.

Trying to see what prices looked like now I searched wagon top caboose on eBay and came up with Fox Valley.

Thanks for setting me straight.
