Another Korber roundhouse, this one under construction. I think mine's around 30 years old...
I shortened four of the stalls to 13.5", and the fifth one to 9", the latter one in order to clear a curve to the upper staging yard. When I get back to work on it, I'll add an annex for an office and changerooms, and put a removeable roof on it.

The MEC RS-11s were colorful, but a but sooty as well - typical somking ACLOs
Here are a couple of projects I did back in the late 70's, that are both early mod's and somewhat colorful!
Repaint of the DT&I Bi-Centennial Unit into the GTW colors as applied to DT&I units, was again quickly repainted with a white DT&I lettering as the president of the GTW did not like the DT&I units looking better than the GTW unit.
N&W SD40-2 used for director's trains etc.

This New York Central A/B set #1855 and #2425 started as Athearn kits in Burlington Northern and Canadian Pacific liveries respectively. They were my first attempt at changing the livery of a locomotive. The scheme was chosen because black seemed to be the easiest.

Actually, the "Fiftieth Anniversary Edition" was the NKP 759 painted for the 100th Anniversary of the driving of the Golden Spike back in 1969.
I got a photo when the Golden Spike Centennial Limited laid over in Cleveland on May 4th, 1969.

An early mod--I bought a Rivarossi Berkshire 50th Anniversary Edition at Trainland more than ten years ago when I lived in NY. I did not prefer the blue American Railroads scheme but the berk was so cheap I grabbed it, then painted over the blue on cab and tender and added rub-on letters. The result was a lot more pleasing to the eye. Looks more like a locomotive now. -Rob

Until my A/A set of F7s is complete (they are colorful), this is the best that the STRATTON & GILLETTE has to offer.
This is an old Kato E unit from my N scale days in the Bicentennial scheme. I painted it just to pull my Kadee Micro-Trains bicentennial boxcar set. The decals were meant for an Alaska Railroad unit. I painted this over 20 years ago.
Sorry to recycle an image I used once before for "Show Me Something". I am stuck in a hotel in Orlando, or I would have made a new image of the locomotive on my poseable diorama board.
