I have a 2' x 22' N scale dog bone layout, and I only use DC.I'm looking for something similar to the old Aristo-Craft basic train engineer ART-5480 RC unit.I'm only looking for wireless DC,speed and direction controll.I know they show up on ebay sometimes but for a high price. If anyone makes one where can I buy it.I'm not interested in making my own. Thanks for any help.

David,

Look for the Crest version of the old Aristocraft RC throttle. There's a thread about them here:

http://cs.trains.com/mrr/f/11/t/17007.aspx

Then there's this interesting new development based on the same architecture:

Some discussion on these:

The old Aristocraft and the newer Crest units tend to hold their value, in large part because large scale RRers use them, so pricing on ebay tends to be higher than you might anticipate, but they are good solid units. I had an Aristicraft unit I used for awhile at the end of DC days on my layout before DCC was installed and was quite surprised at what mine sold for.
