I've never seen bilingual crossbucks before, but I don't know a whole lot about Canadian railroads.  Bilingual makes perfect sense!

Any more wig-wags out there?

Three days and no wig-wags. Let me propose a CNR bilingual cross buck at a grade crossing instead.

Please show me more grade crosing.

This grade crossing is on my layout.  I think wig-wag signals are cool and interesting so I used them instead of the more "traditional" crossbucks.  There's a single-track grade crossing just beyond the double-track in the foreground.  It's protected by the older "magnetic flagman" signals.

New York Central's Commodore Vanderbilt.

From my old layout, a driver foolishly goes around the gates after a freight train passes, forgetting about the second track.

Show me another grade crossing.

Hand laid grade crossing using Kappler HO narrow gauge ties. Still needs some touch up work and ramps from the roadway.

Hi John,

These were Rail Works Ltd. P30a brass models made by Woosung. R158 is the round window and R159 the square window version. I got them a few years ago as unpainted models from different sellers on Ebay. Either luck or patience, they were both very reasonable, cost-wise.

Some photos of the prototypes here:

Show me more troop trains!

A couple of "homemade" Troop Sleepers. You can bet the "Brass" are riding in the regular Pullman...

More Troop Trains, anyone?

gmpullman, you can see the "Pennsy" influence in the car with the portholes.  Who makes those cars?

Show more troop trains, please or war materials/armaments trains.

Grampys Trains

Five days and no train passing near or over water. So let's go for a    2-8-0 Consolidation with a string of tank cars.

Please show me a transition era diesel locomotive.

Does one RDC make a passenger train? B&M thought so near the end of passenger service.

Here is my "Heartland Zephyr" which is my version of the Kansas City Zephyr. To me, it is an ideal "pike-sized" passenger train.

Please show another passenger train.
