Yes, Happy New Year.  Though on Central time, we make the call when the ball goes down in NYC, close enough.

My New year's resolution is to finally put my layout back together and get operational after moving into new digs this past September. Had the darned thing all tracked and wired, (including the control panel that I spent countless hours building and wiring), then decided to move into new and improved living quarters; now with a dedicated train room.

Happy 2017 to all.

One of my perennial model railroad oriented New Year's Resolutions is to get the darn "stuff" off the benchwork -- the tools, drawings, supplies, newly acquired models in their boxes, and other such irrelevant material.  I find that "stuff" tends to discourage serious work (tracklaying, ballasting, wiring) on the layout. Unfortunately the entire subsequent year alwsys sees the stuff gradually get back on the layout, but for a few months at least genuine progress can be made.
