Reefers with sound. Tell me, what does melting ice sound like

Lots of empty space in a container. Why not use it for a battery with a long run time? Plus it adds a bit of weight that can be useful.
It doesn't say, but I suspect the sound isn't continuous once the battery is installed, but activated/deactivated by a magnet or other means.
Oh, and it's ThermoKing. Used to deal with parts for them.
9 volt battery indeed.
Underneath is an on/off switch. The sound is a sequence of start - run - stop of random duration. Another switch cycles 4 different levels.
Martin,
Thanks for the clarification. I prefer a physical switch myself, although there are no 53' (or shorter) reefer boxes on my layout. Might have a few Sound Cars, though, once the budget allows, so always good to hear about more ways in which realism is being brought to the layout with new products like this one.
Hello all,
This thread might be interesting:

Hope this helps.
"Uhh...I didn’t know it was 'impossible' I just made it work...sorry"
the're = a contraction of "they are"
their = possessive, "it is their ball"
GRrrrr....
Thanks, Lion. And you're not the only one who wondered about the sound of melting ice. These younger folks just have no idea about water dripping from iced reefers.

Wonder if at $35 I could buy one or two and just add them to my container yard for the sound effect.

Apparently, Martin was not clear enough. There are two physical switches on the bottom of the container. One is an on-off slide switch. The other is a push button that cycles through sound levels.
I have two of these. They are very nice. I ran one in a train, and it was interesting watching the guys trying to find where the sound was coming from.
They're pretty heavy, so if you load them in the top position, you'll be wanting to be "thoughtful". However, I put one of them above a 40' box on a Walthers 53' single well car, and had no problems. A flaw in the Walthers car is that the space for the container is a bit too short. But you already knew that, right?
