I have subscribed to MR digital edition from the start and have done so through Zinio.
It has worked perfectly and I've had access to all online features, and it has been a small text under my username specifying which issue is the last on my subscription.
Now I have no access, and customer service claims that there are no changes from before...
Which is utter BS!
So, if I want access to subscriber features online I have to pay for ONE MORE subscription directly from MR! Even though they use Zinio for the digital edition!!!
I have emailed the editors, but they don't answer.
If this is how MR is treating those who pay their salaries, I guess they will lose one paycheck from me....

You're not alone in your frustration,Graffen.
I'm about done with it,too. I received an email on June 2nd,telling me my MRVP subscription would expire on June 26th. Since then I haven't been able to access anything but previews in MRVP. I used to be able to go to my account and see all my subscriptions(MR,Trains,Classic Trains) and when they would expire. I can't find my way to anything as straight forward as that anymore - usually end up having to sign in(I'm already signed in!) to get to another page that doesn't have anything I need.

It appears to me that Kalmbach has segmented the different offerings and that each one has its own "customer service" tab.
For MR, at the top of this page upper right you can click below "subscribe" on customer service. On the page that opens you'll see at the top "subscription services". That will take you to a log in page where you can use your email and password. Once you get past that you'll see your account info for MR.
For videoplus, you have to go to mrv.trains.com. Top center on the opening page is "my account". Clicking there takes you to the log in page, and getting past that gets you to your account info for videoplus.
At the bottom of both of the account pages is a tab that says "manage all accounts. If you click that tab it will gather and display all your accounts and you can get details of each one.
There's a difference between the free online services and Video Plus. It's not unreasonable to add the small monthly charge for Video Plus and the all access archives.
As far as MRs customer service, they've been great on the few times that I've a problem. They always respond to emails and fix the problem by the next day.

Maxman, thanks! That was exactly what I was after. 'Shows(correctly)that my MRVP subscription is already expired. Don't know why the e mail says it will expire June 26th,but I'll take care of that. Thanks again for taking the time to step me through this.
Graffen: I hope your problem gets solved as easily...
I used to see the expiration date of my MR subscription on the banner, but that´s gone now. My June copy of MR has not yet arrived and when I want to inform Customer Service about it, I now have to enter my subscription code, which is printed on the mailing sheet. I doubt that anyone keeps this sheet when unwrapping the copy. My solution was to send a general request to the customer service staff, which was promptly answered.
However, I have to agree - whoever programmed this has not wasted a single thought on customer service.
MR should do better!

Graffen,
I am a Trains subscriber resident in Australia and the same thing happened to me around a month ago.
Log in to the "customer service" section using your website login and report a missing issue, giving your mailing address (or e-mail if you only get the E-version through Zinio)
This worked for me and I got my Zinio magazine about two weeks late and it has worked from then on.
I had tried e-mails previously and it didn't work.
If you knew your old subscriber number shown on the mailing sheets of print magazines, it may not help. My Trains number changed with the new system.
If you don't have access while waiting, have you used the access codes in your last e-magazine? These last more than a month.

The code in the digital mag doesn't give access to the digital archive!
So it is for what?
So, I have now gotten a refund on my subscription of MR.
I have however renewed my subscription for The Narrow gauge and short line Gazette.
I got my Zinio magazine about two weeks late
Everyone on Zinio got the May MR digital issue late due to a problem with MR setting the proper permisions on it with Zinio. There is a thread in here about it somewhere.
Cheers,
Bill
