steam or diesel

most of my trains are diesel freights but i also have a diesel passenger train so the question isn't a fair reflection on what i run on my layout...I have the cars from the SP daylight and it's pulled by an F-7 black widow A and B unit and will add two more as soon as I get them ordered...Chuck[:D]

Steam passenger! Steam locomotives rule and one hauling a passenger train is a sight to behold! When people talk about the golden age of rail travel, they usually mean the steam era.

Too many choices. I vored for steam freight, but could have just as easily voted for steam everything.

UK Class 47 diesel's, the Jack Of All Trade's, 95mph on a passenger train or getting to grips with a coal train, you can't beat it,,, then when they die at 40 or so years old they get a re-build with a reconditiond SD40 engine and get upgraded to Class 57 for what will prove to be one of the longest lasting locomotives ever built,,,,, but still not as good as an 8P "Duchess" class steam locomotive

In real life - Steam Passenger. There is a reason excursion trains get a 90 MPH road block of all the cars of railfans chasing them.

To model - Freight Diesels are so much easier and low maintenance.

All of the above.In the past I was jealouse of youse guys that ran diesel because they proformed so well.But now with all the new,quality steamers We are right up there with you.
