Better that he took it out on his layout than the wife and kids with that amount of rage.  Even that bad result could, yet, make a sad headline.  Obviously someone out of control.  The world and its inhabitants are slowly degrading as seen daily.  The old self-control model is turning into out of control - play it all out in real time venting.

Some of the this guy's MR work looked pretty good, to me at least, and even whacking at it with a large board took a lot of effort to smash up!  He must have used a ton of hydrocal!

Still, it is just plain sad.  His detail looked good enough to qualify him as a pretty good modeler, but he couldn't have loved his railroad as many of us do or he could not have smashed it up like that.  The rage must have been very great.

When I decide to change or remove an old layout in favor of a new one or simply tear it down for a rest from model railroading, I always feel a sadness in doing so, even if it is demanded by circumstance.

I could not watch more than 3 minutes of this video of venting rage, not because I am not strong enough to do so, but just because I have more constructive use of my time envisioned.
