Folks turned out to Union Station to tour the all-new Budd streamlined dome-observation car for the re-equipped Canadian. Canadian Pacific's premier transcontinental train. Vancouver counts as West Coast, eh?

MEC 572 GP-7 shown in the as delivered color scheme or repainted in the same scheme in the late 1970s at the request of local railfans. This locomotive was preserved and still operational in main line service well into the 1980s (maybe longer)
