Here's a Minitrix K4 that's been both Re-powered and repainted.
Max Magliaro re-powered the locomotive with a Faulhaber 1319 coreless motor and replaced the gearing.
I repainted it into Pennsy colors.

Here is an oldie but goodie, U-18B MEC 404 "Kenneth Roberts". No, it's not Intermountain, it's an undecorsted Athearn Blue box kit that was modified to a U-18 by Chucks Chop Shop about 20 years ago. I detailed and painted it.

I guess this Kato SD38-2 fits that description, it started as a CN&W unit. Before stripping and repainting it in the CSX YN2 scheme, I relocated the headlight from between the number boards to the nose, substituted the factory horn with a K5LA, and added the bell near the radiator grille.
Let's see another modified or repainted loco.

My yet to be finished roundhouse from my yet to be started Western Pennsylvania railroad museum. In my universe, there were 10 K4s's saved, and three are operational-the 1361, and the 5442. The museum is fictionally set in the city of Washington PA, and the museum uses the nearby Wheeling & Lake Erie/Austinville & Dynamite City Railway, tracks for weekend excursions.
