Don't seem to have any takers on the double slip. To move things along, here's one where the yard lead meets the double tracked mainline.

How about anything from a "Fallen Flag"?

Ed,

A compound ladder uses a switch off the divergent leg of each switch in the ladder.  Now if that makes sense, I did a better job than I think I did.  There is a plan of a #6 Compound Ladder in my Atlas track planning book.  Sorry, don't know how to draw or add a photo to do a better job of explaining.

Good luck,

Richard

Pic doesn't show up at all. Growing up in Monongahela, I'd love to see how you modeled it.

Let's go back to ted's request for a compound ladder. (Hang in there,ted...moderation doesn't last forever.)

Well, I decided to run down to the layout and knock off a few pix! I guess this would qualify for a compound ladder. Can anyone clearly define "compound" ladder for me???

Way back where the GP-7 and caboose are there's a left hand switch, then rights for most of the ladder, then the left in the foreground.

Obviously, this area has yet to see ballast! Maybe THIS Winter...

On a trackwork theme, show me a double slip switch (preferably one in IpswichWink )

Please show me a compound ladder

I've got a simple ladder (i.e. all LH switches?) but, unfortunately no photos of it to post...

Anyone? Ted's request got buried!

A new set of E8s roll a "City" streamliner past a road-weary trio of E7s.

Let's go back to ted's request for a compound ladder. (Hang in there,ted...moderation doesn't last forever.)

There really is some impressive scenery to aspire to. Looks great. I love the optical illusions and simulated depth in the backdrops.

My apologies if this is out of sequence (forum moderation) but there has been a steak of mainline requests.

Here is the mainline I laid about 6 months ago. Next i have to figure out the right cv to dim that headlight
