There used to be (when my Dad & Mom were living and had problems with their local squirrels (PETA folks, skip over this post...) what was loosely called "Blue peanuts"... I think they were laced with something very, very unfriendly to a squirrel's health. Whistling

Evening Folks and Good Evening Ulrich!

 Flo Beer Pleases

Work Front, I was there along with 2 customers and one crazy pregrent lady. If the crazy lady was not with a sane guy I would have called the Polices. At one point he told me "she is late for her meds" so I let it slide.

Steve, sounds like you are in my neck of the woods. I live 15 miles sort of north of St Louis in Maryville ILL. I have had my fair share of problems with the VA Medical System! Bang Head Went over a year with out a A1C test and boy did it turn out high! As a whole the VA Medical team has done a good job for me! But my PA, well here is its picture! Smile

 http://s83.photobucket.com/user/cudaken/media/Real%20Trains/PA2_602_sumare_zago_abril1995.jpg.html]

Ray, I wish my A1C was still that low! At one time my was down to 5.7 but with no test strips and no A1C test it hit 8.5. In a month I got it down to 8.2 and hope it will be lower yet. I have stopped eating bread and try to avoid strach food as much as I can!

 Gute Nacht, Cuda-Ken

Good Night, Jeff!

Morning Everone!

I woke up at 4.20am, quite early, but I got 6 hours of sleep in a row -wow! I haven´t had this for years!

The idiot box stayed silent last night, as we were not interested in watching the umpteenth rerun of some soap story. I don´t have cable TV, which would cost a fortune, so we are limited to 40 channels on digital terrestrial broadcasting. It´s free, so I can´t complain. Instead of waisting my time by watching stupid soaps, I continued w*rk on my layout, installing the planks on the dock. Guess what? I am short of a few pieces! Mr. Murphy seems to have moved into my place. I have to get out the table saw and cut the missing pieces - a 2 minute job, but 20 minutes of cleaning Bang Head

Jim - good to see you!

Steve - that´s an awful story! I don´t understand why the world´s most powerful nation sports a health system worthy of a poor third world country. OK, Vinnie - I stop it now.

It´s going to be a hot day again. Yesterday´s thunderboomers were moved to today and the weather guesssers tell us we will be in for some fun tonight and tomorrow. Parts of the country are under a tornado warning ...

Have a great day!

Evenin' folks!

Janie.....  Oh thank you!  A cup of decaf...  How did you know?

MLK Scholarship Dinner went very, very well!  The slide show and the Boys and Girls Club Video was great.  Several of the kids who made the video were brought to the dinner by the Boys and Girls Club.  They were all Middle Schoolers.  They were busy playing with the microphone on the podium after the dinner was over...  I went over and acused them of being middle schoolers...  Then told them I could tell because I taught Middle Sholl Music here in town for 19 years and in fact I was Pablos teacher (the guy who he;ped them make the movie.  They thought that was really cool!

This years group of scholarship winners are the classiest bunch of kids I have seen in a long, long time!  We keep hearing about the kids today who are out of control and no good...  Well I can tell you there are a lot more kids who are fine human beings out there.  Maybe we should notice them more!  I also really enjoy these events as I get to see once again some very special former students and find out what they have done so far with their lives.

I need to be at church early tomorrow so I think I will call it a night!  Be Blessed!

Evening, Chloe - just a hot fudge sundae and a decaf in a Santa Fe mug, please 'n' thank you!

I heard that Ulrich and the crew in here were considering sending the bloodhounds to find me, so I guessed I'd better poke my nose in for now. Not a lot new just yet - still awaiting the return of the guy at w**k for whom I've been covering (leaving the section where I usually am, short-handed). He's supposedly to be back a week from this Friday (on the 29th of May). Can't be too soon!

Not much progress on the MRR stuff/projects at all. Sigh Had some stuff on the 'puter to fiddle with, but have both the laptop & desktop up & running okay again.

We're having some warmer weather here - in the 80's (F) this week, and through the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend, a woman who I've been emailing to/from, and I are to meet on Saturday (30-40 miles up the road, which is close to halfway between where she is and Cape G.). We'll see how we like each other in real life.Whistling

Some nice MRR progress from several of you other Diners, though. Ulrich, you are doing well on your layout (but then again, you have excellent design skills, as well as a craftsman's eye, IMHO)!

Well, about time for me to head for home. I will see if I can find a MRR project that I could make some progress on (so I could post a pic or two over the weekend).

May everyone keep yourself healthy (with or without the VA/government's help). Prayers for safe travelling if any of you will be on the road over the weekend (like to visit family or friends), as well as for health/healing, good night's sleep for those who've been missing some of that lately.

Blessings and prayers,

Jim in Cape G.

Gute Nacht, Ken!

You are right there, Ken! The dreming, planning and building phase is more than half the fun for me as well. However, this layout is definitevely for keeps. Although progrees is seemingly rapid, it will take a lot of time to reach a status when it is nearly complete. Building the structures and deatiling the layout will keep me busy for years. I can´t keep up the pace I am walking in at the moment - financially and physically. And - I still have an option to grow this layout (don´t tell Petra)!

The pictures don´t show the colors of the dock correctly. Somehow, using a flash distorts them. The timber has a silvery grey color - just lik well-seasoned timber should look like.

Have a good rest!

Gary, I'm about an hour north of St. Louis, longer if the traffic is bad. With that snow coming, I was more worried about getting stuck down there, than getting in to the city. Got all my meds now, and they are treating me with kid gloves after all the media attention. Life is good.

Steve

Steve .... Are you close to Hannibal, MO? ...  My father grew up in St. Louis, and I recall visiting there many times when I was a kid.  ... TV had more VA horror stoires this evening.

Jim CG ! ..... Great to see you in the Diner!

Ulrich ..... Perhaps you are sleeping better now that you have a layout to build.

Happy Model Railroading!

Ulrich..at least you GET 40 terrestrial Air channels!

I am limited to just 10% of that...4 channels air broadcast only! I'd/We'd die to have a choice of 40 channels FREE!

There WOULD really be nights there is NOTHING on, then!

It is between seasons here, so even with 240 cable channels, there is nothing on worth watching, anyway.

Ulrich, herzlichen Glückwunsch immer einen guten Schlafa! Ich wusste gar nicht gut schlafen ...die schläft mit mir, Fell überall!

Fouled Anchor

galaxy, I have to deal with the Veterans Administration for my medical (no Obamacare). All the reports on the news are TRUE. We had 10" of snow on the ground here, on the day of my cardio appointment, and I knew it was coming, so I had rescheduled the appointment. I really wanted the appointment as I was totally out of medication, and could not get refills on-line. You guessed it, the rescheduled appointment was two months down the road, and that was after waiting two months previously. When I called to verify the appointment, and ask for refills, the African American on the phone accused me of a no show on my last appointment. All in all, I went five months without heart and diabetes medication. They are trying to sing a different song now. The whole administration is riddled with incompetence.

Steve

Unless you are agreeing with me{?}, then I didn't say they weren't true. Or not a problem.

I DO think they should treat veterans like any other "good insured" person!

Health care is a racket here, just like any other issue of something that costs money! I have just had to learn {the hard way often} that there ARE ways of getting health care at managed costs to get things done.

I did say I could not understand why the veterans would not go seek health support elsewhere, {even to a walk-in} regardless of cost options, and pointed out the Patient Financial Advocate at any hospital is there to HELP anyone with trouble financing health sutuations.

Gambling with health is not good. Some people are just dying to gamble!

Also, our local hospital with the Patient financial Aid program here allows couples up to, what about $55k in income a yea,r before they pay more than $0 for health care expenses incurred by the HOSPITAL visits! Even the ER{other fees for 'contracted entities' may ensue, though}

In my life I have had: good insurance, bad insurance, Medicaid only, No insurance.

Sometimes you get treated BETTER with NO insurance than you do with Medicaid! They can ASSUME they will "get more money out of you"-even at a huge discount- with self-pay {No insuranc} than to accept the paltry amount Medicaid pays!

Even GOOD insurance doesn't always mean much, anyway.

Now, with Affordable Care Act {wrongly called "obamacare'}, many people with GOOD insurance {Like My OH} have no choice but a HIGH deductible policies {$2600 for everything for my OH, then only 80% coverage}, which is still a stickler for the poorer low income people!

BUT it can be negotiated around. Especially with an emergency-related situation.

If you don't have a Dr. or specialist  to refer back to, often the ER will give you one to contact. If the ER referred you, they will most likely take you, though payment will have to be negotiated. If they Are affiliated with the hospital, you can, if you have it, push the Patient Financial plan on them adn they will reduce/eliminate the charges, even when not affiliated directly with the hospital.

And last resort, if you have more than 10%, well here is the IRS statement:

you can deduct only the part of your medical and

dental expenses that exceed 10% of your adjusted gross

income (AGI) (7.5% if either you or your spouse was born

before January 2, 1949).

So, if you have more than 10% {which should be lowered OR allow you to deduct the WHOLE thing}, you can reduce taxes on any income you owe on,

IF you don't have taxable income, seek out  the patient financial advocate in EVERY major health care organization.

I am now saddled with a 6 month "not covered for pre-existing conditons" SUPPLEMENTAL plan for the 20% medicare doesn't cover, but I am pushing for sliding fee scales, advocating for Financial assistance, or REDUCED charges where ever it applies! It IS often frustrating, but it gets things DONE.

Frustrating, I know!

Good Morning all. Lurker as I guess we are called checking in.

Fouled Anchor, Steve, I don't know what class Vet You are, so can't readily comment on what You are entitled to. There are many stories of VA problem's all over the country, guess you're stuck with a bad one. I have been going to and have been in and out of the VA Hines, IL. since 1968, years ago there were some problem's, but have been rectified. I personnally don't have any complaints, But I have on occasion, when there witnessed some people that seem to think the world spins around them and expect immediate attention, won't go there. I believe You should have asked to see a on-duty nurse in regards to your Meds, if anything they would have given You a two month supply, until you saw your doctor, if not go to the ER and tell them your problem. They MUST do that at Hines, again I don't know what class you are in. I am a DAV Vietnam Vet, Purple Heart since 1967, and really don't have any complaints. I also was a volunteer at that VA for three yrs, so I have seen and heard some stories, but have learned how to get things done. Also am a Cancer survivor from that same VA.

Good Luck To You!

Morning all.  I've got a 7 hour work day today.  Going to be a long day, but it will be nice to put some real money away again, and great to work again.   I've got my eye on buying a consolidation for my shortline, eventually purchashing another diesel (perfer undecorated) to make a wheeling.  It's supposed to be in the 70's here today, but at least it isn't going to rain.  Oh, I saw part of my first warbonnet yesterday, as well as a Conrail caboose.  I work another 7 hour shift tomorrow, and then get most of the weekend off so far-yay me.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway.  As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).

Good morning from cloudy New England.  We're supposed to get some more rain today.  We don't really need it, but I'm trying to get the lawn to recover from the last two or three very dry years, and that means constant watering.  I'm finally starting to see some new grass from the seed I put down 2 weeks ago, so having more water applied evenly and freely is always helpful.

Of course, it would be nice if the rain stops for the 3-day weekend.  I'd like to get a couple of bicycle rides in.  With skiing over for the season, I need more exercise.  I've got to install a new set of bathroom sink hardware, too.  So, I'll follow my cardinal rule:  Don't start a plumbing project unless the hardware store will be open for at least another 4 hours.

Galaxy, I know it's your account and your money, but $15,000 is a lot of cash.  I would call the bank the day before and tell them what you plan to do.  That way, they will have the cash on hand and expect you.  When we go to Europe, we always call them a week or so in advance and arrange to get some Euros or Pounds.  That way it's easy for everyone.  When we show up they have an envelope all ready for us, all neatly sorted in convenient denominations.

Now we're dealing with the other family crisis, The Wedding.  This is the sister of the nephew who just passed away.  I'm not going to get into the issue of having her 2-year-old daughter at the wedding - things are different now than they were when we were children.  But, she has not invited her own father, my wife's brother.  He's actually the stable, hard-working member of the family, but her mother is an alcoholic who has poisoned the waters.  (Yes, The Divorce is also in the works.)  We look at all this and are very thankful for our own daughter, who is still close to us and enjoys our company as a family.

Afternoon Gang!

Zoe, coffee and a slice of apple pie, topped with vanilla ice cream, please!

I had a couple o senior moments today. The mailman brought a letter from our customs authorities, that there is a parcel waiting which can´t be cleared due to the lack of an accompanying invoice. Invoice? What invoice? I had sent an email to Bachmann USA requesting delivery of some missing extra detail parts and I was expecting them to be shipped free of charge. Well, I had to drive to down ther to settle the matter - a 45 mile round trip for parts worth maybe $  1.00! At the customs office, there was a surprisingly big parcel waiting for me. It took a while to explain to the customs officer, that this is a free of charge delivery, so no invoice . He did not follow my arguments - Sigh! So I opened the parcel and found a complete body shell and an invoice! The invoice amount, however, was $ 0.00. The customs officer was happy, I was happy - until I was back home. The part that was missing was not included! I need that part to convert my 4-4-0 into a coal burner - it´s the "saddle" for the stack. When my BP was finally down, my brain started to w*rk again. Why the heck should Bachmann include another stack if you can´t put it on the loco. Looking closer at the stack assembly, I found out, that the part I thought to be one is in fact two parts - the missing saddle! After 5 miuntes, my loco is now a coal burner! I now have a second loco shell, which I did not need first place. A big thanks to Bachmann, but a Bang Head to me!

After lunch, I started w*rk on the dock, lots of fiddly little things had to be processed. About an hour ago, the job was done and the railing which I had built, was installed. I don´t know what made me do this, but I ran my On30 caboose along the track, only to find out it would not clear the railing Bang Head. I should have known, after having commented on that thread about the French trains being too wide! Fortunately, I was able to partly dismantle the railing and correct it - big sigh of relief!

Here is today´s achievement:

oh, MR B: That was  a HYPOTHETICAL QUESTION!

I don't HAVE any $15k at all, let alone to withdraw and rub together or pile up and jump nekkid into !

THAT hypothetical Q was a start to the point where banks refuse ,and then the depositor gets panicky, spreads word,  and then that starts a run on the bank{s}.

The banks are supposed to, at any given time, technically have enough cash on had for a few large withdrawals. They no longer do, so cash is disappearing from our society.

How far will you get bargaining for food in a disaster from the man who has it, but with shotguns in his hands, if all you have is a piece of plastic representing a 'NUMBER' of "dollars" he can't touch or bite to see if it is real???

ANd they think "Bitcoin" is a waste of time {I don't own any}!!! {Bit coin: definition form Wiki:

Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer payment system introduced as open source software in 2009 by developer Satoshi Nakamoto.[4] The payments in the system are recorded in a public ledger using its own unit of account,[5] which is also called bitcoin.[note 1] While not considered a true currency, bitcoin is commonly referred to as a digital currencyvirtual currencyelectronic money, or cryptocurrency. The bitcoin system is not controlled by a single entity, like a central bank, which has led the US Treasury to call bitcoin a decentralized currency.MusicBecause bitcoins can be transferred directly from one person to another they are sometimes described as digital cash.[9]

Bitcoins are created as a reward for payment processing work in which users offer their computing power to verify and record payments into the public ledger. Called mining, individuals or companies engage in this activity in exchange for transaction fees and newly created bitcoins.[10] Besides mining, bitcoins can be obtained in exchange for other currencies, products, and services.[11] Users can send and receive bitcoins electronically for an optional transaction fee[12] using wallet software on a personal computermobile device, or a web application.

Well, I starved my self and went to the blood-letting to le tthe vampire do her work.

Now, when I get there, I tell her,a s I do all vampires that it probably WON'T be found in the elbow!!! Best bet is  a butterfly in the back of my hand.

Oh, no, natutrally she has been doing this for years...she can get it in the elbow, easiest place to get it, etc etc,...

SO WHAT happens? She gets ONE SQUIRT out of the elbow, not enough to even "fill" the vial!

Then she starts digging around for the vein. At least SHE asked "if that hurt"? No I siasd, but you'll know it when It does!

Then she tries other {L} elbow! SHe gives up nad gets a buterfly needle and gets it near the L elbow.

NOW, I ask you, WHO knows my veins or lack thereof, BETTER than ANYONE ELSE...no natter HOW LONG they have been a "vampire" and "sucking blood"?????

WHY do I have to go through this for EVERY bloody {oh, how appropriate} blood draw and IV insertion?????

GRR, they never listen to the patient!

I came hime, had a nice breakfast and took a nice nap..some dead relatives visited in my dreams.

Mornin' everyone!

Zoe, I'll have a short stack of Buttermilk Pancakes this morning with real NYS Maple Syrup...  Huh?  Nope no bacon today, I had a nioce big hunk of prime rib last night.  So big I only ate a little over half of it.  Have another (Leftover/unsold) Prime Rib Dinner for tonight as well.

I've already been down to church for a couple hours to watch the hanging of the new speaker in the main array.  It is doing exactly what was predicted it would do and is not causing any new problems so far.  Next step is a new Mixer Board which I am donating to the church.  We will be going with a SoundCraft analog board to replace our old Mackie that is over 10 years old and has been fixed after a lightning strike hit the church a couple years ago.  It is on it's last legs, so the time is right.

Ulrich, 40 channels?  That is about 35 more than I would ever watch if I still had TV.  Over here there isn't much worth watching on most of them so paying a lot of $$$  doesn't get you anything but bragging rights.  I got rid of cable for my TV after figuring out I hadn't even turned the stupid Idiot Box on for over 6 years....  I'm happier without it!

Catch you all later!

Our cable TV lineup has channels from 1 to 999.  They aren't all used, but most are.  Of course, a lot are pay channels that we don't have any use for.  There is a whole series of channels which are hi-def and lo-def copies of each other, too.  But, I'd imagine that there are 4-500 unique channels that we can watch just by tuning in.  So, why is it that it's so hard to find even one show I want to watch?

The only time I really enjoy watching TV is when my favorite train program is on, but that´s down to once a week since the beginning of this year.

Just a few more shots of my layout before I call it a day. I am doggone tired, 4.20 am was a tad early this morning.

My wood burner is now eating coal

...and a last shot of the new dock:

See you all tomorrow!

Good afternoon. It's 83° with 47% humidity. The high will be 88° with some clouds.

The appointment with the heart doc went well and I got a clean bill of health, at least for as healthy as a person with my problems can be. I got there at 10:17 and got out at 12:45. From there me, my father and step mother went to KFC for lunch. I limited myself to a small meal as their food tends to blow my blood sugar through the roof.

Today is my nieces birthday. We'll be going to a local Mexican restaurant for the birthday dinner this evening. My father and step mother won't be in attendance as he has a 4:30 appointment with the same doctor I went to see this morning.

On the computer front, I got the IIc's disk drive working again. The problem turned out to be a broken pin on the connector the ribbon cable connects to. A quick solder job and it was fixed. I left a post on my forum letting the owner know he can pick it up anytime.

The trailer still stinks of smoke and charred wires after yesterdays fire. The only harm I got is a minor first degree burn on my right hand suffered when I opened the oven door to put out the fire inside. It was hot enough that the revolving glass tray shattered and the coating on the cooking compartment walls was melting and the walls looked like they were buckling. At least I got five years out of it. It sure did a number on my lunch. The only part that was recognizable was the corn and that's only because some of it popped. The new unit is working great so far though the only thing it's cooked thus far is a bag of popcorn.

That's all for now.

Evening all. We have had some good news & some bad news over the last couple of days. On the good side, we got an e-mail from my oldest nephew that he has been promoted to Executive Vice President of the telecommunications company he works for. We are very proud of what he has accomplished with his life, He's also getting married in June, so we will be heading to South Carolina for the wedding. We will be seeing him & the bride to be this Saturday as my niece is having a bridal shower here for them. Lots of great things happening in his life.

On the down side, we just found out my cousin was having triple by-pass surgery this morning. It was apparently a must do now kind of thing, although he hadn't actually had a heart attack yet. We are still waiting to hear how things went.

My wife worked with a lady years ago, and they have kept in touch with each other over the years. Talking on the phone at least once a week. She is a great lady who lives in an apartment building & spent her days running errands like shopping, etc, for her neighbors. Anyway, my wife hasn't been able to reach her for a couple of weeks, so we suspected something had happened to her. She is in her early 80's. After making a ton of phone calls, we finally tracked her down. She was in a nursing home on the other side of town. So I took my wife to see her yesterday. It appears she had a stroke & has some serious after effects. Although she did recognize my wife & I. When we got there, she was going to physical therapy. So we accompanied her & spent about an hour visiting. It's really sad, as she kept saying she is hoping to return home soon, but that doesn't appear likely to happen. I understand the need for privacy, but this episode has me wondering if our society isn't carrying things too far. We just got lucky or we would still be searching for her.

Got the flower bed roto-tilled today after adding some mushroom manure & peat moss. Might take the wife to the nursery tomorrow to get her hanging baskets and a couple of flats of annuals. Probably merigolds. I'm getting a little concerned about the cannas I tried to carry over the winter. Don't see even a hint of growth after planting them 8 or 10 days ago. Not really a surprise I suppose, as last year was the only time in 4 or 5 attempts to carry them over in the attic.

Have a good one & stay safe...

Been on the move today and not much of a chance to do much. Doc appointment this morning went well, then lunch at KFC with my father and step mother, a little time at home then off to my nieces birthday dinner at Las Margiritas restaurant this evening. Got home not too long ago and I'm tired.

Time for me to call it a night. See y'all tomorrow.

Eveing Dinners and Good Eveing Ulrich.

 Flo, Beer Please.

Work Front, you can tell a hoilday is near! Bang Head Afternoon I got a little busy, had 8 customers today but only 2 bought anything. Reason I don't like Hoildays? Because they all want to shop all the other sales! If you are the first store, 85% chances they will not buy. But, that was all so what the 2 people that bought from me said as well! Big Smile

VA Care. I go to the VA Hosptial in St Louis, but I live in IL. Frank, I am a Vietnam era Vet but never saw country. I think my covrage is 90%, only thing not paid for is teeth. On big things, the VA as done great by me. Saved my foot / toe and paid for my hand surgery! But, it is the little stuff they drop the ball on! While I have all wise got my meds on time, they let me go (Junk PA In Belleville IL) a year with out a A1C test! Way past due to have my eyes checked!

Well I am bet or I have a few more things to say.

ZzzZzzZzz  Huh?  What?  Ah,  Hmmmmmm!  I was not snoring!  Oh Janie my coffee is cold, I specifically asked for hot decaf.....  When?  Oh, an hour ago?

Been a long but productive day around here.  I did actually fall asleep sitting here staring at the computer screen for a few minutes....  Blackie woke me up wanting some attention (food actually).  I got the lawn finished, trimmed around everything needing to be trimmed around, and did some weeding of the gardens.  Have much more to do, but tomorrow I may go to the Menonite place and buy some "Moo Poo" for the raised beds.  I put the plywood sections back in the car and covered everything with a plastic tarp in case some of the bags decide to leak....  I also got a bunch of computer stuff attended to.

Jeffrey, sounds like you had a busy day too.

I am heading for bed as I am very tired tonight.  I think all the pressure of the last week has caught up to me. Hope you all have a great night and prayers to all in need!

Morning Folks!

I woke up at 3am this morning, as a terrible thunderstorm was right above us, followed by torrential ra*n. It is calm now, and it has cooled off considerably. At 6am, I was so tired that I took a nap on the sofa - I just woke up 1/2 hour ago. This is not going to be my day!

Chloe, although it is not Sunday yet, I need a hearty breakfast, so I hope you don´t mind serving my regular Sunday fare to me on a Friday - thank you!

Nobody told me, that the generator exhaust was fitted upside down - well, I corrected this in a moment. I like the railing on the tender the woodburning version sports, but it would not fit with the plastic coal load. A little sanding and clipping off some protruding thingies took care of that. Now it fits perfectly, but the plastic coal looks rather awkward. Bachmann provides a little bag of real coal to cover it, but I have a feeling that the coal lumps are too small for O scale. It´s more of a coal dust than lumps. I think I will give the coal load a coat of dull black to take awaqy the plastic shine before I attempt to glue the coal down. I also have no idea what type of glue to use - white glue gives it a shine I don´t want. Any idea?

Have a great day!

morning all

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING!

Today is Friday,

May 23rd, 2014!

The "unofficial start"

to Memorial Day!

Let us long remember

those who died

fighting for

our freedom!

Healing energies

for those in need...

"Neither a borrower nor a lender be,
For loan oft loses both itself and friend."

"This above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man."

"Brevity is the soul of wit."

As happens with quotations, some of his words have become simplified and sharpened with time, such as from the original "For the apparel oft proclaims the man." to "Clothes make the man."

-Polonius, Shakespeare

Polonius:-a courtier and the father of Ophelia in Shakespeare's play Hamlet, known for his moralistic aphorisms. Earliest documented use: 1847.

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
