Whoa the gremlins
Posted by NP01 on Monday, March 24, 2014 10:29 PM

Just as I was starting to congratulate myself on the electrical reliability of my layout, all this happened in one week:

  • two momentary switch machines and a panel indicator associated with them stopped working, apparently due to a capacitor problem on the home built pulse circuit.
  • my computer refuses to boot with a "Fan trouble" message, clearly due to the dusty basement
  • one of the two 12v power supplies that power 13 tortoises on the "analog controlled" section died with (I hope) an internal short.

I don't think these are related, except perhaps the same gremlin did them. Oh well, starting from zero to analog control panels to full detection, signalling and panels ... I had a pretty good run without trouble.

Yes those pesky little critters we all love so fondly! Though I'd be very quiet about how you are going to eradicate them as PETA might be trolling!!

I told you not to walk under that ladder, but would you listen?

Well, he was chasing that black cat under the ladder when he ran into the mirror, that he then broke!
