Uh, Micheal..... looks like Garry got his photo in a few minutes ahead of you.  He's asking for a baggage car - I'm sure you've got one of those somewhere on your layout?

The Cheyenne Station looks great anyhow,,,

The Sleeping-Dining-Baggage-Coach car found on NYCT.

LION does have some RDC cars somewhere, but I guess that does not count here, so we are still looking for an RDC car. (LION has done some intersting things with RDC cars)

Here is my current favorite. Its a P2K loco that started out in ACL livery. I painted, decaled and detailed it earlier this year. The loco has a MRC sound decoder and a Soundtraxx speaker under the shell.

How about another custom paint job?

Got lost in the depths of page 2!
Let's see, add 2-10-4 gives you 16; divide by 4 and you get 0-4-0

Not a locomotive, and obviously a caboose, it is still a unique part of the railroad and my first attempt at kitbashing.

Show me another model railroad 'thing'.

Not a loco, not a car, and not a structure, but self-propelled: It's a coke pusher that I scratchbuilt from plans in a Dean Freytag article in MR sometime in the late '90s.  It pushes red-hot coke out of a coke oven 'cell' into a quench car waiting on the other side.

Let's see some more 'things'

The coke pusher looks great.

My coke oven has some scratch built machines on it. My pusher is freelanced and not visible. On the visable side is the chute used to load in the quench car.  (Quench car not in picture). The chute travels back and forth and was made to look like one in a photo In Mr. Freytag's book. Above this machine is the machine that travels across the top to dump coal into the ovens to make coke. .... The crane is used to pick up spilled coke and was made from a European kit.

Please show one or more gondolas

Nice one "Bear", what kind of grade will that "2 horsepower" pull?

Not a lot Bob, if I can animate it you'll be the first to know how many 40 foot box cars the horses will pull on a 2 1/2% grade though finding somewhere to add the weight could be fun. Smile, Wink & Grin

Now if Garry doesn't mind a singular gondola, here's an old ( for me) photo.

Could I please see some more favourite railroad "Things or thing" ?

Cheers, the Bear.

Gidday All, is there fine sunny weather in North America??? If so make the most of it. Big Smile

Well my cement gon is one of my favourite things as it was my first attempt at a kit bash, but as we've ended up on page two over 12 hours from my last post, and being a greedy Bear, here's three of my favourite "Things".

Being of a somewhat stubborn nature, could I please see some more favourite railroad "Things or thing" ??Angry Smile, Wink & Grin

Cheers, the Bear.

I can only the describe it as a Thing... this... this tunnel thing!  Back when I started my present layout I made a temporary tunnel from pieces of scrap lumber.  I hope I've improved my scenery skills since then... Big Smile

Show me another thing on your layout.
