LOL... Corey I thought about your cornfield when I saw the request but figured  "Hey, he's out Christmas shopping and won't answer!"

Good reply getting both field AND road!

Ok, the man wants another dirt road folks.

You can see some "ice" at my Walthers Ice House next to the meat packing plant.

Please show a branch line or short line train.

More like a medium sized coal operation.

Show me a power plant, where all this coal goes to.

Ooooooooh NICE! I really like that scene. Love that rotary dumper. What building did you use for that? Can we see more pics of that whole scene? Because I'm building an Oil Refinery and the power plant is off layout, but I have a rotary dump.

Are those Exact Rail hoppers? They looks exactly like my Exact Rail coal hoppers.

Thank you Michael.  I have been a lurker for far too long and have enjoyed watching your layout progress as well.  The building isn't anything fancy just a Pikestuff 2 bay engine house kit.  It is spiffed up with Walthers rooftop details, the blower on the top and the vents on the side.  Inspiration came from Cody G.

The coal cars are Walthers UP in the 6 pack with JWD coal loads.

EDIT: I should mention that the coal is in Walthers Bethgon Coalporter cars with couplers replaced with Kadee.

I am still developing the area as you can see by the unfinished nature. So will share more as I finish.  Right now I am working on a drive in so maybe some time before I get to more on the power plant.   In the meantime here is another angle.

And still the request is show me another power plant

...still the request is show me another power plant

If you look real closely to the left, you'll see the Walthers Tri-State Power plant behind the roto-dumper.  I could say this is where my steel mill gets its electricity from; but, truth be told, it has been repurposed as a baghouse for hot dust and gases from the adjoining Basic Oxygen Furnace mill.  The coal cars in the background deliver metallurgical coal for the coke ovens.

Since I'm not sure this qualifies, show me either an actual power plant model or any other lineside industry that consumes coal.

The coke oven receives coal. It is the Walthers kit with additional structures added to it.

Let's try grain. Please show a grain elevator.
