Deb read what I wrote. I'll be on the couch tonight. Maybe tomorrow too.At least I wont be in the dogs house. It's to small.
Curt- sorry I missed you the other a.m. I was in the area and could have swung by at about 10:20. Oh.well! You do terrific work.
Prayers for all.

Time for me to call it a night. Had to go to the post office today to try straightening out a problem. Seems a package I sent to New York ended up in North Carolina! The postal service says they'll track it down and get it to where it needs to go. The contents of the package are rather expensive so I'm not a happy camper.See y'all tomorrow.
Evening guys
Well My F-unit hunt hit a snag. I got outbid on all the Fs except a dummy B. I have a few contingency plans though.
Flip, I guess the couch is better than the dog house. lol I agree with you about the foward thing too *ducks and covers from flo*

Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
Packer Well My F-unit hunt hit a snag. I got outbid on all the Fs except a dummy B. I have a few contingency plans though.
jeffrey-wimberly Packer: Well My F-unit hunt hit a snag. I got outbid on all the Fs except a dummy B. I have a few contingency plans though. All but three of my F units are rebuilt junkers. I had some of the parts already. Other parts I got in trades or from Ebay.

Mine new one is a dummy stewart. A dummy is fine for me because I could make it a sound car for a few other powered units. Now to find 2 powered units.
Debbie ... Nice of you to visit. That was good advice you gave. The dog house would have been appropriate, but you were nice to let Flip have the couch....... ooops .... Oh, hello , Flip.... ... I did not see you. How are things?
Vincent ... Too bad you lost the bids, but there will be others.
PA Tom ... Sorry to hear about the medical issues with your better half.
These are my Stewart FT's I detailed and painted a couple of years ago. I got them at a train show from a desperate seller for about $35 for each AB set. They are very nice, and are now DCC-equipped. The prototypes worked many years before being traded in to EMD by CB&Q for GP20's and GP30's..

Evening Folks.
Flo, thank you dear.
Going to be a short visit, I have to be up at 7:30 AM. Will be hard for me now that I am use to getting up at 9:00 AM. Seems we have lost out extra help for a few days. So it will only be Dave and I working the shop.
Gary That Dash 9 is the only Athearn RTR engine I have that has been worth a darn. Now it has problems as well. My guess is the motor bearings are going out, needs oil a lot to keep it quite. I like the UP tunnel motor engines in yellow, not crazy about there F's.
Curt On liking my back ground, are you refereeing to the trees and mountain or the computer and car stuff? I do like nosing around when people post pictures showing what they have in there house in the background.
Well I will see you all Saturday Live, if I don't have Saturday Night Fever!

MOH is a nervous nelly right now. MOH gets that way when events are going to take place.
We have 160 people a comin' to a Wednin' today we have to help with. Long day with my cane definitely as my crutch. We aren't QUITE the "Best People" at the Wednin' but real close runner-up second understudies! We are the "second best best people" along with a handful of others....Of course I get to sit a lot and leave the heavy lifting to others...Sprinkles in the AM followed by what promises to be a beautiful day, though it may be partly cloudy {not exactly a bad thing..keeps down the solar heat}. That, of course is according the weather guessers.
It will take place under a circus sized tent in the gardens of the Manor house. It will be a fetted ocassion with a "Cinco de Mayo" theme. Taco salad and enchiladas and the like amongst roasted Chicken, mac and pot salads, etc. A real Shin-dig!
The couple gettig married will be our "Best People" if we do manage to afford a renewal of vows/wednin' ceremony this July to commenorate our 10th year anniversary. But money is tight, the buffalo on the nickle is squeezed so hard he poops! We'd like to have the ceremony AND go on a second honeymoon to Hawaii, But alas,
Well, heres hoping it all goes off without a hitch! Or rather, here's hopin' the hitchin' goes off without a hitch when they get hitched!

Good Afternoon Gang,
By his hour we will have reached Disentis. Time for a shower to get off all the soot and grime we collected during the steam train ride over the Furka Pass. Before visiting the famous monastery, there will be still time to enjoy a few and a little steam talk.
Tomorrow, we will ride the Rhaetian Railway´s famous Albula line to St. Moritz, that posh mountain resort for the rich and the famous. The first leg will take us to Reichenau-Tamins, where we change trains. We gain will pass through some spectacular mountain sceney, so be sure to have your cameras ready. Highlight of the line is the famous Landwasser Viaduct.
The entire line is part of the UNESCO world heritage program, and once you´ve been down there, you know why.
We will stop for lunch at Filisur, where we also can take a close look at the station building, which is a typical representative of the kind of depots you´ll find on the Rhaetian Railway.
St. Moritz sports a very impressive station building for a narrow gauge line.
There will be time for some window shopping - gentlemen, hold on tight to your credit cards!
Enjoy your day!
Good Morning!!! Coffee please.
Big garage sale day today. We aren’t having one as that is Brenda’s thing and she has been with her Mother so she has had no time. Just as well, those things usually create more of a mess than the stuff you got rid of made in the first place. At least in this house.
Hey Deb. Good to see you. Thanks for thinking about us.
Welp, time to start scrounging around and see how many times I can fill the truck up with junk to take to the Township garage for annual spring cleanup day. Then, who knows what.
Ya’ll have a good day!!!!

Good morning. It's 73° and cloudy. The high will be 88° and it'll be partly cloudy.Well in a little while I'll go check on my mother and see if she needs anything. Later I'll be seeing how some structures look in the area recently vacated by the Shell Service Center. That structure will soon be on it's way north to a new home in Iowa.
Morning All,
Not much planned today. Probably go to the club later. I decided to take today away from working on the layout to give myself a break, I figure I worked on it 16-18 hours this week. Progress is really slow because track wise everything has to be perfect to work properly with the TT.
Next Saturday I am taking Mom and MOH out for supper for Mother's Day since I work on Sunday.
Ulrich- That viaduct would be incredible to ride over.
Ken- I like the coaling facility behind the trees behind the tracks. To me this really gives it depth of field and makes it look like much longer distances then it really is.
Everyone have a good day and Cinco De Mayo. Prayers for those in need.
Bill: Interesting NS colour set here....

Good Morning
Sunny and a high near 66F today...a lot less stick and gum as well....
We did an early morning yard sale hunt and found nothing of interest...although I didst bespy a layout in a garage near here..still being worked on...
We had an interesting evening here...a good 4 hour operating session with 6 operators and NO INCIDENTS at all!!!....yes!!!
And, we are still working on our house..now we need to work on a new back deck...sigh..which means a continuation on the next to no $$$$ for mrr stuff
Have a good day!!

Good Morning All!Not much to report from the land of Buckeyes on this damp foggy Saturday morning other then I set up the Dining Room Table yard(DRT) switching layout yesterday afternoon and switch cars off and on for four hours with flawless operation.I gotta hand it to Kato their Unitrack is top notch for these temporary layouts and its hard to beat N Scale for such layouts.Speaking of that a follow N Scale club member used a old dining room table for his permanent layout. He glued blue foam board to the table top and judging by the pictures I've seen it looks like he built a nice loop layout..I shall have a cup and look over the forum.Have a good'un!

Good morning, Chloe. I will have a quick coffee before we head out for a morning run.
Curt, I spoke with Larry. He said our TT came with detailed instructions, but that was first generation DCC. He said after it is indexed, when you take the bridge off to clean it, remember to 0 it out again. Other than that have fun with it.
G, Glad you had a good preventative visit to your dental hygienist.
Debbie, Glad you stopped by. The Whooping Cough vac is especially important for those around small children. It is just one of the many vaccines that we have as children and forget to get boosters when it no longer required.
Garry, Nice Burlington photo. I don't remember seeing that angle of your layout. Great.
Ulrich, Thanks for you nice tour. The viaduct view would make a great painting.

Anything is possible if you do not know what you are talking about.
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe, I'll have a short stack of buttermilk pancakes with real maple syrup a couple sausage links and a cup of dark roast coffee in a R&GV RR Mug.
Ulrich, WOW, great photos this morning! Especially the stone arch bridge. Can you imagine working construction crew on that?
Barry, I know what you mean about no $$$ for the hobby. Early next week I will be calling about getting a new roof put on the house. I am starting to run out of supplies for the projects I want to get done right now. Guess I will have to just do some other stuff on the layout.
Need to do some quick errands, and then finish mowing the lawn. Got half of it done last night. Should get to weeding the Herb Garden today also. Tomorrow afternoon my son and his wife are going on a wine tour. She won tickets somewhere, so I will be going over to their house to help watch the granddaughters do his MIL can make dinner for everyone..... I have a blood draw Monday morning so I will only get to sample the goodies.
Catch you all later!

Barry, Ray - having no $$$ for my MR is what´s putting me down. When I had plenty of it, I had no time, now I have the time, but no funds
A former colleague of mine is planning to build an old fashioned Marklin HO scale tin-plate layout and has asked me to design a track plan and wiring diagram for it. This is what I have come up with:
I did the diagram in the same fashion as Marklin did in their track plan brochures of the early 1960´s. It is not yet complete. The best part of it is, he will be paying some $$ for my work.
Blessings!
Ulrich- If your friend is close by maybe you can help him build it so you get some MRR time in.

I like that track plan Ulrich. Swiss photos are great.
Ken ... I have the Santa Fe Erie builts too. Full ABA. Santa Fe bought only one set of 3 units of that model. I saw photos of them late in their lives working in Oklahoma sometimes with Alco PA's. The Erie Builts are a favorite of mine.
Sue ... Thanks for the comment. I suppose, it should have been NP.
The Orignal Norfolk Southern was acquired by Southern Railway in the mid 1970's. It's GP 18's such as in Bill T's post were then rebuilt to Southern's standards with high hoods and running long end forward.
Today, NS is running the original red paint scheme on it's heritage locomotive. The original NS had a fleet of Baldwin road switchers with the red scheme.
