Great site for anyone building an oil refinery
Posted by Florida Rocks! on Thursday, March 29, 2012 4:04 PM

I found some info. on oil refineries that someone might be interested in. It pretty much shows the whole process of refining and what structures are involved. On the same site is a sales catalog type thing for O Scale Oil Refinery Buildings, you could probably use the photos on the site for scratch building ideas...

Thanks for the links. My refinery is in N scale and I have most of the different units and items described. But I did see a lot more to add. Yes

The only thing that I see is that the storage tanks do not have containment berms arounbd them.  Every r\efinery that I have ever seen has these incase of apillo.

pastorbob

what is  "apillo"?

Something you lay your head on after working long hours at the refinery and are too tired to drive home.
