Ok, something a little different to break up the winter gloom and since I dont have any new photos of my layout.
I took this while doing a sailing trip to and around Bimini this last March.
I've made some weathering attempts on my British rolling stock fleet

R&R Challenger 2735 rounds the curve past the cool waters of Cuttin Run on a hot summer day. The head-end crew is hoping for a red block ahead so they can break out the fishing poles and make a try for some trout.

Faded, rusty, grimed, even added real wood for the tack board.

Since I did not get anything done this last week, I brought out some old stuff and apologize if I have posted these before.
This is an old Robbins Rails 60' Greenville car, where I spread out the wheelbase from 41' to 46', carved off the rivit detail and scribed lines to replicate the weld lines as this is a Thrall version of the 60' Auto Parts Car. Painted Boxcar Red and lettered with Mark Vaughn's decals.
Another Robbins Rails 60' Greenville car, the only change was to change the wheelbase to 46'. Painted Century Green with Black Ends and Roof and lettered with Walther's Decals.
This is a Details West kit, where I carved off the Plug Door and added a 10' Door from an Athearn Kit. Painted with Floquil Reading Green and lettered with Herald King Decals.

I sure like the depth of your photo, DJ, and the shadowed close side of the box car and diesel look so realistic. I also notice the slight change of grade between siding and the main. Very nice.
The boxcar looks very realistic, Robby.

NIce work, everyone. I've been "milling around" the pink foam space that will become Mooseport, the carfloat terminal on my layout. With some relatively warm and dry weather, I broke with tradition and built this structure first, before laying the track or doing any scenery.
I needed the buildings in place to define the location for the old, abandoned canal crossing from upper right to lower left, marked in black and scored across just before I started gouging out the foam. And, I needed the canal before I could lay the track. The siding on the left will be more or less as you see it, but the track curving around behind the buildings to the right will be replaced by street-running girder rail running through cobblestones.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Some great work so far, and I'm sure there's more to come!
I used some time over break to do some work on my overpass. It's still a work in progress, but at least it looks like something now.

Just finished up these rusty junkers this morning. They're going to be used in a 'U-Pick-n-Pull' antique auto parts junkyard toward the back of my layout.
