Over in the "TRAINS Magazine Forums » General Discussion" forum I started up what I call "Pun Topics" that are design to be ongoing Photo Fun topics.
I would like to try a similar one here in the Model Railroader by having folks post photographs from their model railroad rosters starting with #1 and go as high as we can go (WITHOUT GAPS) with any piece of railroad equipment you have a photograph of. Sounds easy, just wait!
OK, who has #1 ???????

A question on the "rules", if I may. Are we limited to one number at a time, or can we post a sequence when it's the appropriate numbers?
Wayne
I'm not against someone posting a short sequence but at the same time it's nice to give folks a chance to post the numbers they have been waiting to get included. This is why I pause for awhile between numbers even if I have them in my roster. If you only have a few numbers before there is a huge gap in your roster then I would understand why you might want to get the sequence in when the numbers reach what you are looking for.
So, I would say a sequence is OK; but, don't post a large sequence to give others a chance to join the fun and if say a few hours pass since your last post then fell free to post the next number / short sequence. There are folks waiting to get to higher numbers to join in so we don't want to get stuck if you have the number(s) either.
Make since?
Okay, that makes sense - when the thread gets to the appropriate spot(s), I'll jump in with a number, then wait to see if someone comes up with the next one within a reasonable period of time. Most of my in-sequence stuff is identical except for the number, anyway, and not much point in boring folks with it.
and with some waiting time, you can even have double posts for one number.
