O sorry.   yous guys wanted a model.Tongue Tied

Lee

"A model"  how about we take that as Lee's Show Me request.  Since apparently nobody considers the Acela as being a high speed train, I was the guilty party at bogging it down.

So here is "a model"

Show me a roundhouse.

Please remember to be as generic in your requests as possible, we want to include all forum members.  Be as inclusive as you can, not exclusive.

It's 'Show Me Something', not 'Stump the Forum'

Will you settle for a road switcher instead of a switcher working a grain elevator?

Please show us a yard tower or interlocking tower.

For a contest I made a model of me, shoveling grain out of a box car at the Cargil elevator in MPLS. That was funny, but it paid my college bills. Trouble is I don't have the model anymore nor a picture. I worked the afternoon shift and would stop at my future wife's house at 11:30 PM for supper, all sweaty. I think back and grimice and laugh all at the same time. That is when I decided I did not want to work for a living.

We still need a pic

Well, it's been over two hours:  evidently, all of the B&O modellers must be at work or on vacation.  Smile, Wink & Grin

How about a B&O wagontop boxcar (some versions of which were used in express service in passenger trains)?

Show me an industry that uses an overhead crane (the crane needs to be visible).

What was next?

Was it supposed to be telephone poles with wire attached, or civil war era?

How about civil war era with tele-GRAPH poles with wires attached.  Telephone had not been invented.

If you're having trouble keeping up with the thread, and I can certainly understand why, try checking the 'email me replies to this thread' button when you make a reply.  Then all you have to do is check your email, you see the last one from the 'Show Me Something' thread, open that email and click on the blue Show Me Something header and it'll take you right to that post.  Takes 2 or 3 quick clicks and you're right to where you need to be.
