The dock at the "temporary" Freight House on the SLOW.
Speaking of Freight Houses.... Show me your Freight House.
Not the best shot, but I like it anyway.
Lets see an overhead shot of your layout.
One overhead shot of hankinsville, and an 80car coal train manned by two Bigboys and a mid-train Challenger:
let's see an insane amount of horswpower for the train it's pulling.
I think you just posted that. Two big boys and a challenger for eighty cars! That would be insane I think!
How about 4 dash-8's pulling a 20 car coal train....
Show me something... LOUD
Michael
CEO- Mile-HI-RailroadPrototype: D&RGW Moffat Line 1989
This beast would be plenty loud, and getting louder by the yard.
Show me a windmill.
OK Crandell, how about an Aermotor water pump? If the track looks huge it would because the barn and Aermotor in this scene is in "n" scale on my HO layout. The photo is taken from behind the layout, back in the corner. i used some "n" scale to produce forced perspective. From the other side of the layout (where visitors stand) it works quite well.
Show me a prototypeish looking switch stand.
These are operating switch stands. DJ.
Show me a late evening or sunset scene.
By gum, I can do that one, too. Same engine, but runnin' th'other way.
Show me a Cat....D-8, D-9,...
Crandell
How about these?
Here are a couple CATs, a big D11R, & more of a personal model, the D5M in HO (1/87) scale. The D11R is built by CCM, & the D5M by Norscot. An intertesting photo showing the sizes of Caterpillars.
Show me more Caterpillars!
Grampys Trains Show me a late evening or sunset scene.
Sorry to step out of order, but I had a sunset scene:
Now back to more Caterpillars...
beat up gp9
The last request was for 'more caterpillars'.
Does that mean you did not see the 1/87 caterpillers (insect type) in the Woodland Scenics ground cover? ..........

I saw them. They were spinning cacoons !
Will a John Deere do to keep this going? I am waiting for someone to request Thanksgiving dinner in the train room, but that won't happen. So I settle for a John Deere chasing up the pheasants.
Show me something that is dear to your heart.
