I reply to say I'm loving this thread and I love street running-always wanted to include it, never knew how to make the entrance/exit.

Sawyer,

Hey, I also wanted to say great job on your river bed! I know that when 'I' finish one & like it, witout the poured water, that is is pretty good. I hope you will 'feel' that too. It looks like an excellent foundation to your scene!

As for "Street Running" I was hoping to involve modelers that do cable cars, trolleys, & even freight. If I had my wish I'd be able to make a layout with a trolley to various points of intrest in my little scale town. I also asked for 'Street Running' cuz, I have not seen very much participation from, or in that aspect here, so I am reaching out & hopefully getting a welcome from those groups. I think any railroading is & can be excellent & I don't care what aspect, or genre it comes from, I welcome it, all of it. I enjoy all of it too.  WHen I see something neat, I usually walk away with a; (Geez, I wish I had THAT!)  additude..

Just my thoughts & opinions, I hope I didn't offend anyone..

I'll bite, to try to get myself back into this great hobby. My layout is coming along but I need to buy paint to airbrush weather the tracks before I start scenery...so I've been in a bit of a slump what with the long hours I'm working and uninspiring bare layout! I'm hoping once I start scenery I'll get back into it all!

This is a scene from Enfield, NH, on my previous layout, the White River Southern. The street running is at right where local LE-2 is switching Agrawal Paper, accessed by a short section of street running. The train at left is intermodal hotshot MONA (Montreal-Nashua, NH) taking Main 1 around the local.

EDIT: I don't know why the photo is so huge...been a while since I posted one.

Next: Show me some AUTUMN COLORS.

I do not have a saw mill on my layout. I hope somebody does. I'd hate to see this fun thread stopped.

Michael, if you have one, I would not mind your taking a double turn to show it. I can not speak for Jarrell and others, however.

Great photos so far, everybody!

Dang it chad, you beat me to it!

Ok, kitbashed? Try this out. I made a couple of weirdo locomotives by taking a couple old freight cars and gluing on parts from some old trashed locos. Here's the pair (they're behind the boxcar):

And just because, here's my patched out U23Bs...

Sawyer,

Sorry to have gotten that one in there, I was suprised it was open long enough to find my pic & write my post..  Your kit bash beats a Beep I got on evilBay once,  I think I will dust it off & go take a shot of it, cuz it is so retardedly silly/stupid that it's cute.

I'm really enjoying this tread, & hope it lives for a long time, it's fun to see some of the shots we would not normally see, or possibly show off, if it was not good-natured & entertaining like this is. Heh heh..

Thanks every one!  This is fun!

Silly?

I think this HOn3 beep is silly, especially that the truck sideframes hold the brakes a scale foot-&-a-half away from the wheels. This was an eBay purchase, mostly to see how it was done...

Okay, how about Charlie Pingree busily shoveling hot ash from a 2-10-2 into a wooden gondola?  It's silly to everyone but Charlie, who doesn't know any better.

Oops, Chad beat me to it!
