I have to say it again, I love that scene of yours. I can't believe you tore it down. Are you planning something similar on your new layout?

City???  'round these parts we don't like no city slickers, but we gots a nice downtown here in Hopewell Junction.  Always busy on Saturday Afternoons it is.  What with the checker games outside Rose's Diner, the band concert in the park, and all them farmers in shopping for goods.

Show me a small rural industry.

This is the sign over the entracne to a rural stockyard. The building to the left is offices and the yard owner's residence. Dad made that sign out of Balsa, and I helped shape and place it.

Show me something noisy.

Cresting here should be noisy enough?

Show me a 1945 automobile, say a van or delivery truck of some kind.

If it labours more than a couple of hours without a response, we'll go '45-'50.

Absolutely!  In fact, the entire steel mill peninsula was the one chunk of the layout that was saved intact.

Still looking for the heisler or climax locomotive I asked for on the previous page....Question

George - GrampysTrains satisfied the request [for a loco seen in active service between 1965-75], 2 minutes before you posted your MEC geeps.  So he got to choose the next show-me subject.

Now we're all waiting for someone to show us that elusive U50...

OOOPs - my bad! Embarrassed  I thought that rule only applied to "official" show-me responses, not "side" conversations.  [Notice I didn't ask for a new show-me subject?] I stand corrected...

It's no big thing..  Smile

I put it the rule in so that we could all see what other modelers are doing on their layouts.  To me that has been the fun part of this thread.  It is awfully tempting, don't ask how I know, to link to something that is very specific and not likely on very many modelers layouts, not saying U50s aren't on everybody's layout!  Wink

I'm just thankful you and so many others are participating!!
