Hmm, no Jim. Maybe Ken or Simon can go rattle him, their close.
I'm all for the Engish when you get here. Otherwise, I'll support the meltingpot that we're supposed to be, and I even think dual languages on the borders is tolerable, but if you can make it to Indiana (relatively, smack in the middle, there's nothing worthwhile in Kansas) then you ought to have picked up English by now. If not, you should have.
My big dilema with Spanish: We had 4 teachers in 4 years. Our Frshman teacher was separate from the Soph-Senior teach. Then we lost the Soph teach over the summer because she got hitched and absconded with her new husband the Geometry teacher, and had to get a new Spanish teacher with little prep time. She lasted for a semester, before we got ANOTHER teacher, whom we finally seem to have hung onto. The Senior class though was lumped in with the Junior class, so I opted to not take it if I wasn't gonna get a dedicated lesson. Lo and behold, after I did that, they made room for a senior class in the schedule. Go figure. Still, all of that horse-changing had me confused and disintewrested in Spanish. No one taught the same as the other, so we constantly were running into "Well you should be here in your lessons or you should know that". "No ma'am, the others didn't teach us that."
Testing: Yep, the Freshies got to take PSAT/NMSQT (Or as I called it, the Psat/Numsquat) then yo take your last ISTEP test as Sophmores (GQE testing), SAT or ACT as Sophmore or Juniors (so it's either dine by Senior or you have another year to retake if you screw it up horribly) and THEN you take Core40 testing as Juniors. Ain't StateEd metrics fun?
Just noticed my little wiring trip cost me the Lunch tab and Dinner it seems, so the jokes on me. So's the tab.

Yes, it is odd Jim hasn't popped in. I wondr if he's had puter problems. Hope he's well.
NERM- Can't remember the exact story about Elliot. I think he was the guy who started it in the begining but yet that don't sound right. I've been told a couple of times, but.... can't remember. Jim usually is the historian, him and PC.

Good Evening,
Another sunny, warm day here with no sign of frost.
Ray, my wife had Psorisis and then she went in for a little minor surgery and it completely disappeared literally overnight. She had it for 10 years or so and then nothing and it hasn't come back in over 10 years. She too had the steroidal cremes and even shots of it in her fingers. Apparently it was the shock to her system from the anethesia or just the surgery. So I guess you ought to book yourself in for a surgery of your choice.
Ran the Hudson for a few minutes the other night but nothing else for quite a while now as I'm just too tired after I get back from visiting Mum at the hospital. Work has been crazy too with the pending sale of the company. Oh well I guess I could always console myself at the swap meet this week-end assuming I can find something I want to buy that isn't overpriced as usually is the case here.
Jim is certainly conspicuous by his absence. Hope he is OK.

Evening all.
Well, I got a new phone tonight. My phone was still under warranty. It was considered to be defective, not broken (it stoppped working, not like I dropped it and the screen shattered), so it was covered. I got a new phone, same one. When I'm due for my upgrade in February, I'll be getting a new phone, and I'll give the one I have now to my mom (so then she won't have to buy a phone, she'll just get a lightly used one).
Sawyer, I should have specified. The Freshmen take a practice ACT, something like that PLAN you mentioned (maybe that's what it's called, don't remember). Sophmores take the PSAT (as a practice), and Juniors take the PSAT for real. But next year, I'll have a day off to go visit colleges!
I'll be in teh back corner for a bit.

Morgan, hehehehehehehehe
Joe, FRESHMAN taking the ACT?! woa! at AHS, if you had wanted to take the PSAT you ahd to sign up and pay $13. They made all the sophomores take the PLAN test though (basically the PSAT for the ACT).
My Schedule:
1st-spanish (same as last year)
2nd-English (same as last year)
3rd-Algebra2
4th-computer apps
5th-study hall
6th-Chemsitry (I had physical science, which is half chemistry, this time last year)
7th-Art
pretty decent schedule after the morning.
Jeff, AMEN! well, if you want the honest truth, we've been push-overs. If I go to france I expect to learn French. Germany German. Mexico or any other spanish speaking country-Spanish. Japan Japanese, and so on and so forth.
TSF, verb conjugation is the easy part. it's just memorizing. actually forming sentences, well...it gets the idea across.
Well have a good day tomorrow y'all!

I know where your coming from. My Spanish teacher keeps acting like this is easy stuff. My answer is usually a quiet load of horse pluckey. Like the spanish verbs, Alright, I thought the english language was fouled up.

Galaxy according to weather.com, "In 2006, an unprecedented October lake-effect snowstorm hit Buffalo, New York, with 22.6 inches of snow from the 12th to the 13th. Many trees and power lines fell. Not too early for THAT white stuff........"
Jeffrey, THAT is because 2 is Espanól, and 3 is to talk with someone in the pharmacy who is a Human Being, press 8 if you are calling from a physicians office, press 4 if you are calling to refill a prescription and know the presciption #. But for all of them, nothing will w*rk until the advertisement has finished and then they will connect you with whatever................
Went to the dermatologist this afternoon. She has now taken me off all the steroidal cremes for the Psoriasis. She was amazed in the improvement in my spots of crud on my body and thinks the flaking on my face may be a reaction to the steroids I have been using. She also thinks that some of the improvement is a result of no longer being on Thiazide for the blood pressure. I then went over and fed my sisters cats. The outdoor cat will now stay on the porch when I come and feed him. He is very tame around my sister, but is an outdoor cat. The indoor/outdoor old girl has now decided I am a friend and wants me to pet her when I come to take care of her...... This is totally out of character for THAT cat. Normally she will treat me to a paw full of sharp claws and a growl or two if I get anywhere near her. Old Age, or what????
On the train front, the rodent managed to clean off the peanut butter I used in the trap without getting whacked. Hopefully it won't be so lucky tonight... The Humpyard Switches came in today's mail, so I have more to do on the project.
Forget who asked, but the module could do a few switching moves, but is really just to earn the required Merit Award for the NMRA Civil Engineer Certificate. I hope to have the track completely finished by tomorrow evening. Then on to the wiring and details.
Later!

Entschuldigen Sie bitte, ich verstehe nicht, warum ich "Zwei" für Spanisch drücken soll, ich verstehe kein Spanisch. Kann ich "Drei" drücken, um Deutsch zu sprechen?
(Excuse me please, I don´t understand why I have to press "two" for Spanish , I don´t understand Spanish. May I press "three" for German?)
I am here just to get my insomniac special - what? Galaxy took the last one? Aw, shucks - what now.
Jeff - I think our friend J.W. has got 6 valid arguments against pressing button "two".
Gee
I see I stirred up something with the press "dos" thing...good thing it was meant in humor...

Now for my question:
Hey guys. Busy the past few days so I haven't been able to stop in much. I'll be catching up.
Sam, Dunno if you like the nickname or not, but I can see why.

2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.

Sawyer, our school makes us take the PSATs. Freshmen take the ACT, and seniors get the day off.And it looks like we have similar schedules! I have Spanish first, then English second, then history, theology, faith and values, lunch, physics, precalc, and PSAT/First Aid/Gym.

Go ahead, press Dos. I LOOVVEEDD HighSchool Spanish. Press it I dare you. It's the AMPs that'll get you, the Volts well, they just tend to toss you onto yor butt.
Ray, TMarsh: Thank you for the finger crossing and the hopes, but save your knuckles for a bit, I've a lot of preperatory "meeting of the right people in the right places" to do first.
Good afternoon everyone. I'll take a cheeseburger today.
Thank you, everyone who answered my question on the dinner, and for the well whishes for a good nights sleep.
Well, if anyone needs me, I'll be somewhere...
Packers#1 in spanish (1st period) I got several workbook pages done,
Joe, we had the PSAT today as well. I took it in 8th grade and so didn't have a reason to take it this eyar really. next year I'll be taking it though.
Well because of the PSAT I didn't really have to do anything today. in spanish (1st period) I got several workbook pages done, 2nd period (english) I didn't want to work on any more wb pages and so talked, 3rd we had some review sheets, and 4th and on was the same because by then the kids returned from the PSAT
Afternoon all! Yeah, I know it's a little early for me to be in.
We had PSATs today, so we got out at 11:30. Math and writing skills sections (the writing section being easy is one good thing I like about that class, even though I hate the teacher!) were easy, but the critical reading was hard. Hopefully I did well. I'll find out in December.
After school our grade did a hot dog and bake sale (since the cafeteria is closed today) to raise money for our senior prom. Hopefully we made some good money off that, since we currently have less than a third of what last year's seniors had (and their tickets were $100!).
Had a nice relaxing afternoon. Homework is already done, and nothing on the agenda for tonight, except for going out for the brother's birthday dinner.
Oh, so going back a few weeks to the cell phone thing. I think their great, but I hate my phone. Last night something happened, so now when I talk to people, I can't hear them, but they can hear me. But it works on speakerphone. [/rant]Luckily, my mom is getting a new phone soon, so I'll just take her old one until I'm due for an upgrade in February.
I'll be at the RC.
The aforementioned snack tray.
Mornin' everyone!
Zoe I'll have a breakfast muffin w/ cheese and bacon to go along with my dark roast coffee in a R&GV RR mug.
Galaxy, the Windmill is open every Saturday until December 11th. http://www.thewindmill.com/events.htm The windmill is about a half hour drive from my house. We have held Boy Scout Camporees over there. Let me know if you do make it to the Windmill, maybe I could meet you there.
So, we got a Halloween Party here today or what.... Oh! Friends of Ulrich! OK, I see.
I took the excess garden produce down to the Community Lunch Program this morning. They were very pleased to get the stuff. Had to sign all the legal documentation, chatted for a bit, and came back home. They should be sending me a thank you for my Uncle to use........
I have a dermatologist Appointment this afternoon in Canandaigua so I will feed my sister's kitties as soon as I leave there.
OK, Now I'm going to go down to the layout and see if there is anything exciting down there this morning.
Catch you all later!
Good morning. It's 58 and sunny. The high will be 83 and it will be mostly sunny. The chance for rain today is nonexistent.Today is laundry day so I'll be tied up with that for a few hours. As for what will be done for the rest of the day I have no idea. Yesterday I took the snack tray off the top of the engine cover in my van and painted the tray in a stone finish. It's made of wood and the appearance of it really bugged me. It looks much better now that the cracks and seams in it are no longer visible.

Zoe, just a coffee for me, please.
Good Morning! Dark roast coffee and a waffle with maple syrup please. Thank you. RANGERS WIN!!!!! Now I have THAT out of my system. A chance of showers between 7am and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. North northwest wind between 8 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Looks like Slim left Leesville for Williamsville. Silver, not grey. OK. For you Ray, we’ll call it silver. For all you do for the scouts, the Church, the local community, your former students, your Grandchilderen, the museum and who knows what or who else, you deserve silver. Gold actually, but…, then that would make you blonde. Morgan- I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you on the potential job with Amtrak. J.R.- Glad the birthday surprise went well for your Mom. Galaxy- Good the computer’s up and running. I think the worst part of any computer repair is the re-updating of all the programs. Sleep revolves around the phases of the moon eh?

Lee- Sounds like Ohio is just like Illinois. “let’s tear up all the roads we can and then work on only about 10 feet at a time.” Do they also have the signs up warning you of road construction but after you fight your way to the side they say you should be in, you see the “end of construction” sign with no construction? Then after a few days of this, the day you decide to not fight your way into the lane, that’s the day they’ve thrown up the barricades.
Well, today I intend to, once again, you guessed it. Continue fighting house wars. Started to fasten the counter tops down yesterday and lay the trim. I will not get the whole thing trimmed today as I ran out of trim and the new will need to be painted before placed. Pesky little step called drying really throws the whole schedule off. That and the fact I can't seem to spend an entire day on the project because of something evry single day. Today, I have to open the restaurant at 4. Just won't let me be.
Um, Did anyone else catch that G’s sleep revolves around the moon? He has a very sensitive sense of smell? His appetite? You don’t suppose…..you don’t think he could be a Vam…… nah.
Y’all have a Great Day now ya hear?!!!
Good morning.
Its starting to get cooler around here again. Might even get some frost!! I guess its getting to be that time of the year to where you stay in the basement most of the day.
Not to much planned for me. Just the usual.
Hope everybody has a good morning.

Good Morning, Ok, I flipped through the pictures but I’m hopelessly behind in the conversation. I went to the Div 4 meeting last Friday. I really don’t know anyone out there. As I whined before I wanted to be part of Div 5, but I live on the wrong side of the tracks and there is zero tolerance in picking your Division. I guess the old adage applies that you can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you can’t pick your friends nose or what NMRA Division you belong to, LOL! Anyway I almost turned around and went home, every road I turned on to get to the Div 4 meeting was closed for road improvements. It should have been a simple 45 minute trip, over the river and through the woods and your there. Friday night I passed Grandma’s house 4 times.
I bought and stained 100 skewers and hope to have time this week to build up the furnace filters and start trimming….

Good morning guys
Going to go help out a friend today.
And going to go to ITHACA...Closer to Ray's realm, though on the other side of a lake and certainly not in his back yard by any means. Penn Yan was though where I bought my cane and some Finger Lakes wine and mead sometime ago at the Windmill Farmer Market. WE'd like to go back again if other half has a Sat off and the Windmill is still open....RAY any idea when they shut it down for the season?
Going to be a tiring day, I can tell already.
Hope Jeffrey is doing well with his foot...haven't seen much about it lately....
Thoughts and prayers for a friend of ours whose mother passed away yesterday, please. Funeral Fri night and Sat.
Well, I should get going with a bucket of coffee to get me awake...
Did sleep a little better last night, but the night was not long enough. Only got up twice.
