A small village cropped up just to the north of Spoon yard. Hotel Blazinar where the crews can overnight has two stories of first class rooms and the Howard Theatre, now a small storage building, is taking on LCL business from surrounding areas. No tenant has occupied the middle building yet. Crews are still working on the tracks putting in road crossings so that this village will connect with the southern part of Spoon yard.

Guys,
Great pictures so far this weekend and great to see all the progress...
I have been working on my layout and a building...
After a small setback I have moved ahead on my shelf layout. I had to move some cork and remove some ties but I think things will be better with the addition of a crossover.
The inside of Tum-A-Lum Lumber is moving along

The Enola Pit is busy as usual...
Meanwhile, a Pennsy 44-tonner rolls into Enola yard with a load of mill gons full of scrap from the Harrisburg side of the river...
And yes, that's an N scale 44-tonner. It actually pulls more than its prototype!

Well, something didn't copy right, but if you click on that link, it'll bring up the video on Photobucket... Oh, and the sound is dubbed....

Lots of excellent photos already.
I picked up (swapped) a few locos last weekend and made a couple of videos of the new layout this week, so I havent had much time to do any modelling, although I did have my first attempt at modelling kudzu. Here's the new stuff

Thanks Ken. Yes that is an older photo of my layout. I need to take some more new nights shots when I get my new veranda back from the dcc installer. Still working on the yard and doing some scenery/ballasting lately.

Know Cents Where have you been hiding that Layout? I think this is the first time I have seen it! Must have hit a good vein of coal to have two mines!
Thanks for the comments on the dirt road. Honestly it was just some paint I had left over, and I just wanted to see what it would look like. I guess it turned out pretty good.
"Rust, whats not to love?"
Good morning. I'm glad to see the quick start of WPF....
Wolfgang ... Your turnatable looks great. ...
Crandell ... Nicely detail scene including real-looking switch stand.
Michael ... I like the night shot at Union Station.
Robby ... Glad to see your layout view. Dirt raod looks good.
MH Bruce ... I really like the rural scene.
Tom B ... Your Spoon Yard looks good.
Here is a view of my fictional town of "Blackhawk" unlike some real towns with that name.
My first time in a long time on WPF.
This is Spoon Yard on my layout. To the left of the small mountain is a portal into the town of Clark Fork. Spoon yard is technically staging in my workshop - I'm using it to experiment with techniques. I am working on a paved road and sidewalk to go with the Walthers modulars.
Love the "dirt" look in yard selector - what material did you use ?
And, Bobby P, I really like your road!
Nice work!
Crandell, I really like that scene. Well done.
I had some fun recently creating a historic photo from my layout. I'm thinking this was taken sometime in the late 1930's to early 40's:
These days most things have been in decline for quite some time:
Looks like we are off to a great start!!
No weathering for me this weekend. I do have a couple of shots thou.
The end of the shift:

Woflgang, your turntable is coming along very nicely. It will be a wonderful addition to your fine layout.

I'm busy with the turntable for my module Salina.
