Taylor, hey, I'm planning on takin 5 APs my senior year; course those will be my only classes hehe.
Joe, glad you'll be able to get that reading done. I've done half of my spanish assignment today; it's review and it got to the point where I was just half-doing it so I decided to stop and finish either this afternoon or tomorrow.
In the meantime I've made a few changes to my model railroad plan; we'll see how they look when I draw the plan up in MS Paint.

Don't give them any ideas!!!!!!!!
Alex (the Canadian) good luck at college man!

Boy I am I glad I don't have any work to do over the summer, starting college (CEGEP) on August 25th.
Alex
Hey Everyone,
Sorry its been so long, 10 days in wyoming and then coming back and doing two AP assignments. Crazy never doing that again but im in school now so got time now, i'm not hanging out with people every day like over the summer. Hope every thing is going good.
Hey hey hey! Oh right I can't call you that here. Well... Freight You!
Anyways... my rolling stock shipped today, so it should arrive sometime this week, hopefully before I leave for NY, and if not I'll get it Sunday night.
Guilford Guy After all I do have some experience painting trains.

Watch out for those sinks while you're cleaning the airbrush though!
Modeling New Haven despite what his user name says...
Guilford Guy It's intended to be LV Cornell Red. The Delaware Lehigh & Northern is another bankrupt coal road converting to bridge traffic in the mid 70s, just before being pulled into Conrail. I'm pretty sure the red will work. After all I do have some experience painting trains.

I know you do, and Cornell makes a lot more sense.
demonwolf224 Well, I've ordered four Shinohara Code 70 turnouts, and their en route. I also have to get some ME Code 70 Flex, then trackwork can commence on the DLN. For whoever is wondering, the DLN is what Alex and I have been discussing over the last week or so. Here's the paint scheme.

Sweet look, though I'm worried about how the Tuscan will work out in actuality. Might be okay, but some combinations don't always work from electrons to life. have we tried a live color sample on cardstock or cardboard yet?
I notice that the headlight shades are upside down from most practices. Is this to cut down on glare into the cab?
That sounds fun! I kinda like the idea of sectional layouts more than just something that stays in a room forever.
Hey guys havent been able to be on for a while because i was at the fair all week because i raise pigs for 4-h. While i was there i talked to the county administrator about a 4-h model railroading club so she said she would look into it. So i figured if i was able to start one the club could make a sectional layout and bring a couple of sections to fair. Well i just need to hear back from her so well see whet happens.
Chris
Yes, atleast from what I can tell. Alex designed it.
Sweet paint scheme, based off of the D&H? Mine's based off of the later BC Rail scheme, although I reversed the cutback and will be using gray, black, and a deep rich orange. I don't have permission to post eby drawings though
Justin, nice work on the cab. I'm looking forward to seeing progress, as on your project GG, like I said on that other forum that teens can visit
Hey guys, haven't posted anything in a while, so I guess I'll show you what I'm working on.
Currently doing an SD40-2 Athearn BB in a Pan Am scheme. So far, I'm stripping the shell as we speak, and I've got the cab stripped already (Chessie scheme to the black plastic) so I decided to try priming it, and it came out pretty well. Although, you can't really screw up primer. :P
ns3010Kyrin, that teen forum of which we are not to speak of here is not necessarilary (sp?) dead, it has just slowed down for summer. All forums tend to do that, even this one. It will pick up again as it starts to get colder.

Cool. Send me a PM Joe.
ns3010 Sawyer and Morgan, I think you're talking to Kyrin- I didn't post a plan...Kyrin, that teen forum of which we are not to speak of here is not necessarilary (sp?) dead, it has just slowed down for summer. joe, yeah, that was kinda unclear who I was speaking to about the plan.
and yes it has basically applied the brakes for summer. Which bites
Packers#1 Joe, that bites man. Good news bout them genesets though! Nice 4x8 plan. I've been beating myself over the head trying to design a new layout, it's killing me. I think I'm going to step back and instead focus on the history of my new freelanced rail company. Then after that's been decided I'll have a better idea of what the trackplan should have and also my mind will be rested

Sounds like plan. Feel free to bounce idears off us, we'd love to hear
Joe: Nice plan man. It's N though, isn't it. Ah well, still looks like fun to photoshoot. Definatgely like the double bridge onto the island.
Welp guys, on the 1:1 scale front, tthis teen is heading off to ITM tomorrow night for the first evening of the State Fair's Fair Train. Probably as an Attendent, then I'll get to student conductor next week! If I'm smart, I'll take model trains for the trips when we has no people.
Or a book. That has fewer pieces...
Started on yet another project. This one will probably be sleeping in a drawer on the workbench until I can figure out how I'll be stretching the frame. The MBTA F40PH-2Cs have a stretched end to fit an HEP generator. I made a cut on a Walthers F40 between the 2nd and 3rd fans(excluding the dynamics) and sanded the cut smooth. Then I took an old Life Like F40 and made a cut straight down from behind the exhaust stack, and another straight down in front of the fan for the dynamics. I then spliced this piece between the 2 parts of the carbody, glued it in place, then put a little putty on a couple gaps. Overall it came out pretty well. Now it needs paint, which I don't have, and a frame, which I'm not in the mood for chopping.
Very sorry to hear that Joe. But, he's in a better place now.
Well I decided to post here now a bit, since there's not many other places for teens to post about their model railroads and what not. (NTRES, but no one posts there anymore) So lately I've been planning my 4x8 layout, as well as many conversations with GG about the ideas of a fremo club. I won't go into details about it, but here is my 4x8 plan.
Hey guys, sorry for my absence, but it's been a little crazy around here.
My grandpa passed two weeks ago tomorrow. I won't go into details, but I'll just say it was time, and it's for the better.
Anyways, on a MRRing note, I also stopped by the LHS in Point Pleasant. Didn't really have anything I was interested in, or that I could afford, so I just got Walthers's 2010 reference book. But the Gensets are expected this month or next, so hopefully I'll FINALLY be getting that.
Packers#1wouldn't that be top right?
Yes, yes it would be... I r schmart...
