Terry beat me to to by a minute fo rthe WPF, so I will delete mine and re-post here....

Everyone must have exhausted themselves with the big WPF last week Big Smile, so I will give it a start with an older photo. This gravel loader and conveyor is located above Greenvale on the right of way of an abandoned branch line.

Cool! Now we can cool our brains and enjoy pics and vids for a while...my head just stopped spinning from all the philosophical threads lately! Not that they aren't important but its time to enjoy MRRing for a day or two IMHO!

A super start, and thanks for getting us underway, Terry! Cool

Nice modelling and photography all around, gentlemen.  I'll try to keep up. Shock

I had some fun filming at night last week. Here's the product.

Night at West Canaan. A very long train WJCD passes behind long-hood-first GP18 #9423, then intermodal train NAWJ slowly passes through town behind GP7 #8569, recently shopped with new trucks and electrical gear.

First is a shoot by the grain elevator.

Next is a pair of N&W stearmers

I was starting to wonder if it was Friday?

Hello everyone its been a long time since I posted a pic here on the forums and this is the best place to do it. I have put some scenery on my layout for the first time ever. There are some touch ups to do but im happy with the results. Here is a pic of my BN ore train climbing the grade.

 Great work so far.

Some switching on a beautiful spring day.

The backdrop was photo-shopped in (using more digital help than usual on this picture).

Looking good so far, guys.

Here's a quickie - not a particularly flattering shot but the camera battery was dying and I wanted to get something up...

Some better shots will hopefully come later.

Over the Easter weekend I took the boys to the Greeley Colorado Railroad museum.  Here are a few shots that I took there.  It is well worth a visit if you are in the area.

The saloon business has been terrible at Tim's Place since the Sherry's Scarlet Slipper opened up next door.  Everything is just fancier over there ...

That is Sweeeet! Very nice. How did you do the lake / trestle scene? I'd love to hear more about what you did to make that scene.

Smile,Wink, & Grin cudaken; very nice photo work.  The y6b caught my eye as well the J . The flat face of the Y really brought out detail.Who is the manufacture of those engines??  Are they still available ?? 60 + yrs. past I saw many A's and Y6bs on the Portsmouth to columbus coal drag. I'm starting my N&W  coal and freight RR .  Thanks for the pics.   Respectfully, Jim

Ah, the weekend and my favorite thread!

What a great start!  So many outstanding photos of great layouts!  I have just been continuing with the engine house I have been scratch building.  Haven't had much time to work on it the last couple of weeks.

Here is the last main wall complete with 2 x 6 studing.  The walls will from time to time have to carry some major weight when the crew does repairs on the old shay that works this area on the mountain so it is sturdy!

Walls have been assembled and a new base placed under it.

Other side of the building:

Ties have been laid inside for the track to be placed upon:

Jim, thank you for the kind words about the photo and engines. Class J is by BLI and is a original Paragon using a QSI decoder. Y6 b is also by BLI and is a PCM version. Detailing of the Y6 b is the best I have seen to date on any engine (not that I have looked that much at brass engines) it is die cast and pulls like a bear. It has pulled 70 cars up a 1.2% grade, on flat track I am pretty sure it would pull over 100 cars with no traction tires. It has a Loksound 3.5 decoder and slow speed is unreal. They are no longer made, but I pretty sure BLI used the same casting to make there Paragon 2 offering.

Sure wish I could have see real ones run, but I have seen some good videos on U Tube.

         Thank You again, Cuda Ken

Thanks Ken,

I just have a hard time with getting the lighting right so that there is not so much noise in the picture. The camera is still new to me and it is a lot smarter than me.

Don't worry Joe, you will figure it out. Sometimes just playing with the color and contrast will help. Hope you don't mind but I played with it some.

Ms Miller, plant mgr of Miller Milling Co, no relation, was recently elected president of her garden club. Wanting to beautify the plant grounds she put Tonya in charge of planting two flowering trees. The men hope they don’t have to plant flowers, but so long as Tonya is in charge they won’t mind.
