Zak here,  I currently live in a town called Glendora which is just east of Los Angeles.  I have been in construction for a few years doing mostly drywall then switching to finish carpentry and then to project management.  My love for Montana and the MRL came from attending Montana State University while studying Construction Engineering Technology.  I've also lived in Oregon, Utah, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, but I grew up in San Diego.  Now I am 33 years old and due to the slowing of contruction I know work for Penske Truck Leasing.  If I don't get the chance to move back to Montana and become a custom home builder, I will either stay with Penske or try to get on with the California Highway Patrol.

Hi all, I'm Ernie; no one has confessed to being a Civil Engineer yet so I'll raise my hand.  Retired once and lasted for 2 months been working ever since.  May retire again someday? Live in Flagstaff, the Arizona snow country (BTW Bob, it's too hot to model in Lake Havasu) 8<)). Just starting my latest attempt to use the model railroading time machine to return to a less stressful time, lots of fun!

Hello! I'm Matt. I'm a General Manager for a restaurant in Mechanicsburg, Pa. and I live in Hershey, Pa. For those of you who have never been here I'll answer all the questions that people who have never been here always ask. Yes you can smell chocolate but the peanut butter smell from the Reeses plant is stronger. Yes the streetlights on the main drag ARE shaped like Hershey's Kisses. No I never met Milton Hershey! (Rail fans want to know these answers:)The Rockville bridge across the Susquehanna is about 1/2 hour away. The Enola yards are about 25 minutes away. Downtown Harrisburg is 15 minutes.

Hi ya all,

I'm John  (Johnboy),  From  Saskatchewan. in the great White North, about 120 miles north of the US border..

Retired Greyhound Bus Operator of 35 years service and  2.5 million miles.

Now a Security Guard , and pushing 70 this year.

Started in Lionel with my Father many moons ago. Have been dabbling in HO since 1961.

Started on this (probably) my last Pike about 5years ago.  The Road name I use is  "Last mountain & Eastern" and I have used

it all of my  MRR life.    Prototype Road modeled is the Western Pacific. It is a multi- level (helix) and elevations, that can be run continuously or point to point.  17' x 13'.

Had a major set-back this last couple of years when the south side of our home settled 1 5/8 inches  that really through out the elevations and after problems encountered getting the house back up in place and getting the rest of the living space in the basement refinished, I am just now getting around to the train room again. Boy does that feel good, even though there is a lot of work ahead of me still.

Nice to learn of all of your places of residence and your jobs.

Johnboy out for now..................................

from Saskatchewan, in the Great White North..

We have met the enemy,  and he is us............ (Pogo)

I grew up on Long Island, New York, where I developed a love of subways.

I work in the defense business in Massachusetts.  I work on large radar systems that target incoming missiles, so I tell people I'm a rocket scientist.

I had a couple of model railroads, first Lionels, then HO, when I was much younger.  I'm "born again" into the hobby as of about 5 years ago.

Hi everyone!!  I am Harold G from Flushing, Michigan, just outside of Flint.  I retired from GM in 2002 after 30+ years and I am also a retired consultant and choir director.  I was raised not too far from here and remember seeing and hearing steam engines go past my grandmother's porch in Montrose - shook the entire house!!  Currently I am modeling the Lake Superior and Ishpeming which is near my place in northern Michigan.

Hello all! I am Cliff. Grew up in eastern Colorado next to the Rock Island tracks. Moved to southern California next to UP tracks. Moved to Buellton, CA. (north of Santa Barbara) No tracks ! Blah!                Joined NMRA in 1948 but stopped renewing (girls take a lot of money!) I am retired from more occupations than I can count. Jack of all trades, master of none. Having built many layouts,I wonder why am I still making the mistakes?
