Hello! I'm Matt. I'm a General Manager for a restaurant in Mechanicsburg, Pa. and I live in Hershey, Pa. For those of you who have never been here I'll answer all the questions that people who have never been here always ask. Yes you can smell chocolate but the peanut butter smell from the Reeses plant is stronger. Yes the streetlights on the main drag ARE shaped like Hershey's Kisses. No I never met Milton Hershey! (Rail fans want to know these answers:)The Rockville bridge across the Susquehanna is about 1/2 hour away. The Enola yards are about 25 minutes away. Downtown Harrisburg is 15 minutes.

Hi all, I'm Ernie; no one has confessed to being a Civil Engineer yet so I'll raise my hand.  Retired once and lasted for 2 months been working ever since.  May retire again someday? Live in Flagstaff, the Arizona snow country (BTW Bob, it's too hot to model in Lake Havasu) 8<)). Just starting my latest attempt to use the model railroading time machine to return to a less stressful time, lots of fun!

Zak here,  I currently live in a town called Glendora which is just east of Los Angeles.  I have been in construction for a few years doing mostly drywall then switching to finish carpentry and then to project management.  My love for Montana and the MRL came from attending Montana State University while studying Construction Engineering Technology.  I've also lived in Oregon, Utah, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, but I grew up in San Diego.  Now I am 33 years old and due to the slowing of contruction I know work for Penske Truck Leasing.  If I don't get the chance to move back to Montana and become a custom home builder, I will either stay with Penske or try to get on with the California Highway Patrol.

Hi Gang.

Tom here from central Jerzey near the beach.  My business is bright metals processing, we take stainless steel and aluminum and make it pretty for your dishwashers, refrigerators, commercial food equip., milk tankers and such.

When I am not taking care of the kids, the wife, the elderly mother, the house, the cars, paying the bills, shoveling snow.....I get to play with my trains.  No, it's never often enough, much like most of us I suppose.

I'm from northeast Ohio, now living in southwest Ohio, working as a design/construction project manager for the Air Force.   Grew up on a little farm and thinking hard about moving back to one sometime in the next few years, and would be happy to have it be within sight and sound of a railroad.  I keep an old farm tractor in the garage just to be ready, and if I had a bigger garage (and a lot bigger budget) I'd be tempted to look for an old F-unit as well... :-)

I'm Bob, I was born and raised in The Bronx,NY, married there, moved to Bogota,NJ, retired as a computer tech from Riverdell HS, moved to Lewes,DE in 2003. Wife said "get a hobby". I had HO as a kid, but thought I could get more from N, boy, did I ever!  The first layout here was 6 x 8, hung from a lift in the garage, but that wasn't enough, so I built a 17 x 21 room over the master bedroom, and I just finished laying the mainline raodbed this afternoon.  I'm an Air Force brat, done my share of farming in the family while young, and worked in wholesale groceries for a couple of decades. About a decade ago I went back to school. I'm presently writing my dissertation for a doctorate in history. I'm also the superintendent of Illinois Terminal Deivison/NMRA, the president of a non-profit foundation, and the founder of a community radio station.

I'm Rangachari Anand but since my name is officially written "backwards", my real first name is "Anand". See this page for details.

I'm originally from India but have lived in America for the past twenty five years (and Teaneck, NJ for the past fourteen). I work for IBM in research division north of New York City as a research staff member. I have been crazy about trains since I was about two years old. I started my current layout (documented in my blog) in 2007. I really enjoy working on electronics and computers and plan to fully control my layout with my own software. If it works out as I expect, I may get to publish a paper about it at a computer conference later this year.

Anand

Slowly building a layout since 2007!
