Also funny to see this post open by European modelers....Cowboy

Well, after all, you guys have at least 5-hour headstart on the weekend!

Here in the mid-atlantic, we're buckling down for a huge snowstorm, as much as 2 feet, so we may have lots of housebound modelers with time and work to post!

Hi,

Yes You have right, we have a few hours headstart to begun the week end and by the way it's the second time I am able to start the WPF post.

I have just find funny that the second topic in the post was made by Mister Duedler; also an European.

Anyway it's a great post like all the WPF ones and You can't feel the pleasure it's for me to share my week works whith all the others.

Below a few pics of a project I whish to do, I hope to repair this model and use it on the expand layout because it's brings me a lot of memories.

This is a very early Arnold Rapido kit which was a gift from my late loved father for christmas.

I believe it was in 1973/74 and it was one of my very first attempt to build a good looking model whith some scratchbuild details like the little wood shed and the paper brick wall glued inside. It was supposed to be used for a very early layout which was an European one whith a "spaghetti' track design.

For some unknow reasons I never used this model and it was stored badly and suffer from many move in very bad conditions; some parts like the clestory is broken and others are missing.

I will try to rebuild it and give her a decent look to use it after a nearly 40 years....

Colesdad, thank-you very much for your kindness.  It means a ton!  Smile

Marc, you are no slouch when it comes to modelling.  Your building looks very good.  I hope to see it closer and mounted on a diorama soon...?

Hi Crandell,

Thanks a lot for your answer.

Yeah, all these models will be part of my on the way big yard for my Maclau River.

I have just start to build the metalic frame to support the benchwork and have put some unlay track and turnouts whith some already finished models to see how all goes toghether.

First I will build the small steam terminal; the roundhouse, the ash pit, the sand tower are ready, still need to be build the water tank and coal tower and the turntable ( a small Peco one, may be this week).

The ice houce will be used for the outside track of the  yard ladder just along the edge of table.

As soon as possible I will publish some pics of it.

Yeah I wish I was at that point in this hobby.  Actually a buddy gave it to me and I just stuck it on there for the heck of it.  It's not prototypical of the location.  just having some fun.

Here's a photo of my N Scale  CSX caboose(ex Chessie/B&O).

This is a Athearn caboose and it has seats in the bay and a generator on the trucks.

Up in north Jersey, we didn't get anything. Nothing even stuck.

Well so far this is one reason I didn't get much layout work done today, and maybe something for next weeks WPF.

We got about 22 inches total Banged Head.

Great pictures, friends. Here's my part, third segement of Silver Creek module. You see Silver Creek Mine.

I think, this segment is finished, for now.

The switch stand has a movable target.  Look at the details in the linked bigger picture.

This is beautiful work, Wolfgang.  Are the bridge and Silver Creek Mine built from kits or scratchbuilt?

Very nice photo. I especially like the ground cover around the rails; gives the appearance of an industrial area quite nicely. Looking forward tos eeing some more pics of your layout on here!

Excellent work everyone. I had a rugby match yesterday and today is the Super Bowl of course. I am however debating whether to build an HOn3 2x4 layout to depict a small logging branch (If I build this it would benefit my current layout as well because I would have two different layouts in two different scales to enjoy. When one starts getting old, I move to working on the other layout). Motive power wouldn't be a problem, as I have both an N scale GP9 shell and N scale GP35 shell that could be donated to build shells for my two n scale diesels to wear while running on the HOn3 layout. It would be a simple trackplan; small, tight oval with a switchback up to a logging camp.

While on my way to get breakfast this morning I decided to swing by C&HV's 12th St Satellite yard and it was my lucky day.I found GP7 102 tied down for the weekend.

The 102 is usually assigned to the Parkersburg yard.

The Mine was an Campbell kit, I've got it from my friend Peter in exchange for two modules. Here's the HowTo for my bridge.

Great stuff as usual guys. Keep them coming.

A little something from the BRVRR. NYC #874 doing a little switching on the team track.

Here's another. A little unusual because we were operating trains from western railroads. They don't often
turn up on the layout.

Sorry about the above image guys. I should have used a tri-pod.

Looks good Zak. I take it you like working with the static grass as the scene is very plush. The module realy came together for showcasing your models.

I may have put this up last week but cannot remember. This module will be part of the Inland Pacific modular groups N scale set up at the WGH Long Beach show next weekend.

This guy spent the entire day railfanning and it appears the lack of sun may bring his day to an end. I wonder if he has the required rangers day pass to be on that access road. This shot was taken with a 300watt shop light to the left and a yellow poster board to the right as an experiment to soften the shadows. I think a white board would be better.
