First 6 months or so were in Toledo, OH. The rest has been in Bloomington/Normal, IL. So far, I've heard every pun and joke on Normal's name possible (oh? So is it, Normal there!?).

hennepin98 Y.J. - did you think it's a small world when you posted everything about Hennepin? This is Nic, one of the owners of Hennepin Marine. I'm sure you would probably know me if you saw me. If you fish the AYA this year, make sure you find me and say hi. Thanks for fishing the AYA with us and hope to see you this year! We are opening up registrations this week! Back to railroading - do you have a layout? What gauge do you run? I have a small HO layout that I am looking/working on expanding to a larger one. Nic

If you look at the poster thanking the sponsors from last year you guys had at the picnic, you will see Lincoln Jig Company.I was the owner til earlier this year.Company no longer exists,no business plus too much time not spent with my kids.I still paint crankbaits and make jigs but just for family and friends.Rich Casey was my contact.Nice guy.Im also getting ready to start a new bird dog so my plates pretty full.
I just got back into railroading after a 7 year break and me and my two sons,5&9 are freelancing an around the walls n scale layout.Im actually thinking of putting the Rt.251 bridge in it.My first trip on the Illinois,i launched at Peru and was able to see a switcher work in and out of Mertels. It made a skunking worth it.
If you get around to scenery, how about Bob Kidd trolling the clam beds in Spring Valley???

Hey, I did the engineering on a pretty large building in Normal a couple of years ago. Unfortunately the developer went belly-up early in construction and left the city a big hole in the ground, near the Amtrak station I believe.
