Sawyer, that furniture factory is looking great!
John, that is a neat layout!
Well, I found out that my airbrush wasn't shipped because the propel couldn't be shipped by airmail. So I'm gonna reorder it sometime soon. And my dad found the decals... I printed some, and they're drying. Hopefully I can finish that caboose tonight...
And I sent back the centerbeam, so the new one should be here next week I guess.

You know you have to seal the decal paper after printing them, yes?

Thanks Joe and John! I might get the roof done today, or I'll wire up the layout a bit more. I picked up the wire today for both the town side and also to run a bus. will just be soldering connections though, as it still works fine and also is a HECK of a lot cheaper than suitcase connectors.
In other ANRR news, 3 50' insulated boxcars have arrived, as well as 4 Evans 53' dbl. plug door boxcars. The furniture factory can be switched out, although there are not enough boxcars on roster to model the flow of lumber (I'll be building up a boxcar fleet for this b/c they can be used to switch out other industries. I'll later build up a fleet of centerbeam flats to take over this job.)
Don't have any pics. have taken some with my new phone. the Env3 has a 3 megapixel camera. not magazine quality, but still decent snapshots.
Alex, sweet work on that LVRC loco!

Well, there's only about 10 minutes left of double 0 9...
Alex, yes, I sealed them, but apparently it didn't work. Now that I look at them, they came out kinda bad anyway. Once I get the white ones printed for the Genset and freight cars, I'll get the black MOW and green loco ones too...

Ok, so it's a little late, but Happy New Year to you guys! It has been a great year on the forum!

I never used suitcase connectors. I've gone for soldering the whole way. Once you get the hang of it, it's really quick to do.
I know what you mean about not enough cars! I need to approximetely double my fleet to run full-length trains and still switch enough cars to make a viable profit. Of course, I have somewhere around eleven cars out of service for either repair or paint work! I'm saving up for the big Springfield show...it's easy to find cars with metal wheels and Kadees there.
Well, I guess I'll make final comments here, so I won't have to carry over to the new one...
TrainManTyI know what you mean about not enough cars
No you don't! This is my roster:Bay Window CabooseBay Window CabooseTank carNS Boxcar, OOS because of constant derails and me trying to find the cause...Centerbeam, awaiting replacement, since the one I got was broken (I really need to ship that thing, because I got the return number, but didn't get the cance to mail it back before we went away...)Observation, can't be used until I build larger layout with bigger curves
I have so much MRR-related stuff I want to do (including expanding my car "roster" [if you can call it that]), and no money to do it! Let's see, buy camera, expand roster, build new layout (at least get it to a point where I can run trains [such as get the main and a few industries built])... I need a job, but that definatley won't happen till summer... *sigh*
