3 "consists" that run all the time

B&O
AHM baggage car
Athearn coach
Athearn Ob

Western Maryland All Athearn
1 Baggage
1 Baggage/combine
4 coaches
2 Obs
Half are Bev-Bel, the rest are Doghouse hobbies

The Entertrainment Line
These cars were all part of a real consist, that I had the pleasure of riding these cars in 94 and 95 as a Conductor for ETL before they folded. They were all pulled by Maryland Midland engines.
All the cars except 2 were either scratchbuilt ot kitbashed or made from brass car sides, only 1 was right straight out of the box.
They are:
#33 power car, scratchbuilt former Army kitchen car that carried a 75 KW generator set to power the HEP stuff on the trains
#53 the Mauve. Former NP coach converted into a diner. Bashed Rivi car
#55 Dance car. Former C&O Gatsby's Tavern, made into an empty car with a DJ stand at one end and lots of speakers in the ceiling. Bashed from a Rivi coach.
#3302 the "Geo Hooper" Former B&O closed OB car, used as a diner. Bashed from a Rivi Heavyweight Diner
# the bras'dor Lake. Former CN diner/kitchen car. Made from modified brass sides on a Bethlehem core kit.
#5300 former Seaboard car, converted to diner. Bashed from a Con-Cor kit
#1155 Pennsy cafe diner. Thank God Walthers did this one right!!!!!!!!!!
2 other plain coaches, ex NJT, the road numbers escape me at the moment.
and finally bringing up the markers,
"the Northern Lights" private rail car that could be added to any train(for a fee) for private parties. Lightly modified Kato car fits the bill.
There were other cars (dome and a ex-pennsy twin unit diner) that I will do someday, but thats enough for now.[:D]

Here's a little shot of the head end with the power car.

A Life-Like coach, dome car, and an observation. They were Amtrak but I painted them as CGW. I plan to get a few more coaches.

5 ancient Mantua streamliners:
1 baggage
2 coaches
1 diner
1 observation

1 Bowser PCC car

4 Life-Like R-17 subway cars

And then theres a bunch of old stuff with horn-hooks and even loop couplers sitting in boxes, but not up to running standards yet. One day, I'll get the old wooden ones (made with real old wood) retrofitted and running.

Well, my experiences with the one I have have been variable. When i got it there was a chunk missing from the roof (it was brand new). Filled that using a little car body filler and reprayed the roof. Next problem was couplers - I had to use the Kadee #508 kit with #22 couplers to get the right height. They also have plastic wheels and no interiors. Personally I'd save my money and buy the Walthers streamline cars instead, as by the time you've added the upgrade parts to the Concor car you'll have spent much the same amount!

I will be adding to my fleet of Milwaukee road once I get some cash flow again.

Antonio, I just happened to have such a pic:

That's an Athearn baggage, Walthers rpo, and some Branchline coaches and sleeper. Thinking of adding a BCW horse car to this train, and / or a Bachmann combine. Another Branchline 80ft coach, 2-tone grey is on it's way to replace the sleeper in the picture, which in turn will join another NYC consist, a long distance one, with mixed heavyweight / lightweight and corrugated / smoothside cars.

I'm VERY enthusiastic about the Branchline heavyweight kits, they're easy to build and & look better than the Walthers heavyweights. Only thing is, I still havent found glue strong enough to secure the underbody parts for once & for all.

Have you tried Gorilla Glue? You need very little, just a third of a drop from the tip of a pin, and a bit of water mixed in. It seems to catalyse with water (the instructions say to wet one surface). While curing, it expands, which is undesirable...hence the caution to use about a third as much as you would with styrene glue. But, it is very strong.

I have used what I believe are MDC Harrimans, and I am not impressed with them...poor runners. So, I have spent the money on three walthers heavyweight sleepers (NYC), but they are still in the box until I can get track laid.

PRR Fan Here(early 1950's)
12 car Broadway Limited: 1- RPO, 3- 4-4-2Sleepers, 4- 10-6Sleepers, 1- twin unit diner, 1- 6dbr/lounge, 1- 2MR/1dbr.Lounge/Obs.All cars are Rivarossi or Walthers except twin unit diner is lambert

13 car Congressional Limited: 1- RPO, 5- coaches, 4- Parlors, 1- Diner, 1- Lunch counter/lounge, 1- Parlor/Obs. All cars are Walthers except for OBS that I kitbashed from a Rivarossi flat-end Obs.

In addition to these 2 full trains I have the following done in PRR:

18 - P70 coaches - mostly Spectrum except for 3 old Silversides kits.
6 - P85 coaches - Centralia Car Works
6 - 12-4 sleepers(Rivarossi)
6- 10-6 sleepers(Rivarossi)
3- 4-4-2 sleepers(Walthers)
9- Baggage (4 Walthers, 2AHM, 2 Rivarossi, 1 Centralia car Works)
4-RPO(BM70) AHM
1- Baggage/dorm(Walthers)
3- 12-1 Hwt sleepers(AHM)

Also have 8 Amtrak Superliners & 6 Amfleet coaches.Don't know why I have these since they don't quite fit into my modelling period. I might just do them up in PRR colors & run them as the "Train of Tomorrow". I know, it's a stretch, but it could work..LOL!

I might have mentioned this before, but it seems that the older HO 85ft. streamlined passenger cars the corrugation pattern on the car sides is reversed. I noticed this when I put one next to my Rivorossi Budds.

Anyway, I sold my last Con Cor passenger car.  I'm proceeding to "fix up" my 85ft. Rivorossi passenger car's and am going to only purchase Walthers Budds in the future.

Although KCS went out of the passenger business in 1971 and I model 1981 I have a Southern Belle consist:

Passenger Power (KCS Southern Belle paint): E8 A-A (Proto 2000) and E6 A-A (Proto 2000) and Eire Built A-B-A (Proto 1000) I am working on geting a set of F7s or F3s in the Passenger Southern Bell paint; probably Athern.

Passenger Fleet: (KCS Southern Belle Paint): Pullman Baggage; RPO; Smooth Side Pullman Chair Car (2); Heavy Weight Dinner; Pullman Smooth Side Sleeper (2); Pullman Smooth Side Observation. (All Rivirossi)

Business Car: Kay See (Brass Hallmark Models) I don't run this on the layout yet as I can't afford for this one to take a trip into the canyon!  Maybe when the layout is completed.

A lot of KCS Southern Bell Train Sets have a Dome Car, however KCS never owned any dome cars.
