I think I agree with you PC but I would check into recovery of the cost of your lawyer seeing they gave you official arrest warant and all . Which you would in all fair thinking obtain a lawyer because of there actions.

Well not much else happening . sometimes I wish I could get a job fixing O gauge trains but then reality hits me I would be lost when it came to this newer stuff with all there electronics. I would have to take a basic electronics coarse first.

Good Evening all, not much train time the last few day, Wed. the boys headed off in search of a new LHS I Spoke to the owner and he sounded like the right type( nice but not pushy) to me, so I got directions from Map Quest and headed out, found the place no problem but... the shop had moved so I went over to my regular shop. The owner is great but his train selection is very small, I can order anything I want but who wants to wait? So I went home and check the address, that's when I realized I was using last years phone book If I had gone just a short distance past my usual place I would have found it and from the sounds of things(both from talking to the owner and from the name of the shop it looks like this is all or mostly all trains<got to get in there just need the time).
Today I had to help my sister in-law with packing up my mother-in-law's house to get it ready sell, need the money for uncovered medical care she's in a nursing home(final stages of cancer)6 grand a month but she's in so much pain most of the time they're able to control her pain better than we could. So any way that's life I 'm afraid. Sorry for the gloomy post it's just been a hard day, so I'll say good night.

Inch-It is a bit sad to know that 103 won't run again,but the pioneer villiage hasn't got the funds or the facilities to rebuild her to running status. they are actually landlocked, it was shipped 20 miles by two flatbed trucks to get to it's new home.Stll at least it's cared for. Thsi pioneer village speacializes in finding preserving and restoring old houses and buildings. They have over 50 buildings on the property all moved from spots from all over the province all ranging from 1790-1885 building dates. They actually have approx 20 acres of bush and land with the buildings forming a little town,quite neat little set up.
Lisa-Sorry to hear aabout your M-I-L, hopefully they can control her suffering. We will keep her in our prayers as well for you.

DICK, know about vacuum tubes, I worked on tube radios n tvs. First one I worked on was a 1928 RCA battery radio, that belonged to my great granddad, then work in tv repair shop for awhile in high school. Feller down the road still works on them some, has all the testers. We still had some tube equipment in the AF back then.
LISA, sorry to hear bout the MIL, we'll keep you'll our thoughts. Just remember there be better days ahead.

Busy day yesterday. We upgrade this computer. Still trying to get these back to where we would like them but it's nice to see things what we have working at full speed. Only one set back, the mouse died. We had no problems with it until we had everything closed up and running. Fortunately, that is the only set back so I'll take it.
Watch for my rant on NCE. If it does get deleted I'll be surprized but NCE has it coming.

As for the brothers and sisters, just keep pointing them to God and let Him handle the rest. If you believe that He's really "in control", let Him take the wheel and drive.

Cloe: Mary Ann had baked a cake for Phill. We were going to take it to him in the lock up but since he has percerviered I brought it here for everyone to have a piece. So cut it up and give everyone a piece of cake and a cup of coffee on us. Oh, yea, Be carefull cutting it . There is a hack saw and a couple of extra blades in it.
I'm here at work again. The marketing people had a bright idea of opening some rides for the season pass holders early. That way the season pass holders get a couple of hours of ride time before the crowd gets in. Sounds great but then those marketing folks don't have to get the rides ready 2 hours early.
I didn't sleep well last night. Infact I think I only got a couple of hours of sleep total. Monday it's back to the dentist. I guess I'll have to see his nephew for a root canel. Get it done and get rid of the pain.
I went to the preview and must say that the light printing is very hard to read. I would like to see if Bergie could do something about that.

Well all went down and saw edythe and she's not doing well there talking about giving her a cat scan to see whats what with her to see if maybe her cancer is coming back.
Gee I hope not but can't really complain either she is 82 years young but sure will hate to see anything happen to her as she is like a second mom to me.

Reminds me of the time when I was agout 7 or 8 years old, we, a couple buddies and me, were going home one nite and decided to take a short cut through the cemetary. Wasn't bad going in but it seemed like we would never get to the other side. Can remember thinking we were going to fall into an open grave. Wen we did get home I can remember sleeping under the covers that nite head and all. It was summer with no fans or air conditioning. But it was safe. Never went through there again.

However, as I drove down that section of street #s, there were only private houses, no stores, no business signs on the houses, nothing. Frustrated, and out of time, I gave up. Later learned that the LHS was indeed in one of the houses. You had to know.
Sorry to hear about your m-i-l’s situation. Pain control is important; have you a Hospice service available? They are generally terrific at that.

That split AC unit sounds like the AC equivalent of an inboard-outboard! How are the two parts mounted? Just curious.
Depends on the details of the make and installation, but I'll tell you how ours are done.
The compressor sits outside, preferably on a small concrete slab (ours is bolted down to our concrete roof with small expansion bolts). This is really just like a central air unit, just smaller (usually).
The air handler, with coil and fan, is mounted inside. In our case one is bolted to the wall, and the other is supported hanging from two rods that are embedded in the wall. (In an earlier house, this unit was hung from the concrete roof).
A central air system would have one large coil and fan, with ductwork to/from the rooms. The minisplit unit has no ductwork, so there needs to be a separate compressor/air handler for each area you are cooling (there are multizone units). But unlike window units, the compressor is outside, so there is significantly less noise inside.
Between the two run the two coolant lines, to the compressor and from the compressor. I suppose there's a practical limit on how far apart the two units can be. In our case the total run, includin bends, is about 20' on the farthest one.
There will be a small drain line from the air handler to route condensation to the outside.

Well, today has been a pretty productive day for me. Went to Wal-Mart and picked up a Norscot scraper. Its amazing what we've been able to find at Wally World lately. Then, I came home and worked on the railroad.
Yesterday afternoon was pretty interesting as well. (I didn't have a chance to post much yesterday, so I'm doing it today!) From Hopkinsville, I headed 13 miles or so north along the CSX Henderson Subdivision to Crofton, KY, ate dinner at the Crofton Diner (a very good establishment, I might add), and chatted with the local police for a while in the city hall parking lot. I heard the crossing arms go down, looked up, and saw a long Union Pacific coal drag. I watched it for a while and heard another loud rumble. It was a helper SD90MAC in the middle. You don't see that around here every day! (the Crofton City Hall is right next to the tracks, by the way. Very good viewing from there).
