Good morning all!
Really late practice made morning earlier than usual. So I'll do my coffee and donut now and sleep until noon.
Since it's joke time in the shop....... A 75 year old man walks into a bar and sees a 65 year old woman. He walks up to her and says, "Hi! Do I come here often?"
Okay guys this was found 1/4 way down on page 2 . and on a saturday morning no excuses. LOL
Just checking in and Bumping it up

Good afternoon all!
Finally awake and rested. I'm now ready for our gig tonight. Being a musician is great since you get to sleep in, unfortunately when you get to bed between 1 and 3 in the morning, sleeping in in a necessity.
I do have a MMR question for all of you experts...... Is there a good book or manual on locomotive maitenance and repair. I have been trying to figure out how to get to the moving parts on our engines so I can oil them. It is not as straightforward as it should be especially on the BLI engines.
I'll check in later.
Hi Guys,
what better place to say hello to the new forum and it´s hiccups as the coffee shop!
I managed to re/enlist and I think even ieSpell still works!
GREAT, now add some smilies just for fun:
I miss the little smily-shopping-window!
so , a good day and may many pastries be with you,
cheers and regards from the other side of the pond!

Hi Gang: I'm taking a break before going out to take care of the animals and get the cows out of the well site. It's about 101f and 65% humidity with not a breath of wind blowing. Now if I can just get myself to go out there.
I had a normal day a work wishing that I was home. Actually it was pretty normal for the day after my days off. The water level in the alligator pond was overflowing and there was no dye. Today that was not too bad since it kept me out of a very hot un-airconditioned shop. I won't have time to get to the basement. By the time all is done with the animals it will be bed time. Still no rain. The weather guessers say maybe Friday. I think they just tell us that to avoid the linch mobs.
I've been noticing that when hitting "Enter" to space parragraphs. you get 2 spaces. At least it looks like 2.
I miss being able to see who else is in the CS also. Maybe Bergie can do something about that in the future.
Well I'm off and crawling. Take Care All
Hello!

Let us know how the DC to DCC changeover goes! I've been thinking about taking the plung.

On second thoughts, its really overcast, maybe next week
Well well well...Hello everyone. I haven't been on since I unlocked my account. I cruised the Coffee Shop a bit that night, but didn't post anything because I had to get to bed.
All last week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 4:30, I was at Hagerstown Community College helping to teach the College for Kids Intro to Computer Game Design course. They all got to make games in Microsoft PowerPoint. They had some real good products after the week was done; a very creative bunch they were. Three of them were even programming in BlitzBasic, but they had previous experiences with it. It was fun, and gave my 44 Student Service Learning hours...Although, I didn't need them. I have previous completed 92 hours, and Maryland only requires 75. So now I have over 130.
I'm not sure if I diggin' the new forum layout. I guess it'll take a while to get used to, but so far I think I like the old set up better.
I have to play with the smileys...
QUESTION: Can we not see our own avatars and signatures? I can see everyone elses, but not my own.
Well guys, catch y'all later.

Darn, missed the TOP again!
And Scott, I can see mine.
Coffee and a donut then bed.
Great gig tonight. We were in Staten Island at a Christian coffee house. The place is a bit strange but then we're a strange band so it all fits. The only downside to NYC gigs is the drive.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend. OBTW, anybody know of a good MRR store in Austin, TX??
Hey guys turns out I did go down to the crossing i was telling you about...
this is the direction the train came from you can see it's not far and the curve too, which has a crest in it.
and this is were the car ended up. it was pushed about 60 metres.
I gotta run, i'll post more pics tomorrow night.
Good morning ! from Indiana.

Congrats Lupo and the 4th Star I also want to invite everyone to download msn messenger and join the forum chat family. We talk about modeling, railfanning, taking train pics, tell jokes, laugh at each other, and just generally have a good time. We have modelers, railfans, and even some railroaders as our chat family grows. We have many from the USA, a bunch of Canadians , Lupo sometimes drops in on us and we even have a French guy now. . So downlown msn messenger and join our chat family. The download is free and easy. http://messenger.msn.com/Download/ I just noticed they have changed the download page. If you have any questions, please email me. I hope to see you all in chat real soon. I work on airplanes, have also worked in retail management ,restaurant management, and have worked at a major theme part and just don't seem to know any strangers. Jim,
Nice to find another fellow North Little Rockian. I came from that area and really know what you meane about the fallen flags. By my screen name, I you can see the one I miss the most. I am in the military stationed overseas and look forward to retiring so I can get back there to see what the Jenks Building looks like today.
Sorry 'bout that, PC. Since I was buying for Alex's birthday anyway it worked out OK.
Scott: Are you going into teaching?I was just wondering since you were getting all those teaching hours. I can see my sig when I preview my post. Is that what you mean?

Mornin' Zoe, I'll have a cup of black coffee. Thanks! Well I'm back in Huntsville. I don't know whether I got the job or not. Hopefully I'll hear tomorrow. My trip north also included a trip to my home town (a tidbit I didn't tell you). Some of you may remember that I was going to be a grandpa. Well now I am! Piper Leah was born on July 10th. she was 9lb 6oz and 20in long. She slept most of the time I was at the hospital visiting her. She is home now and both mother and daughter are doing just fine.
Mornin All!
Hi Chloe! Big day today, so I'll just have the coffee to go,......Thanks!
Well, I bought a bunch of furniture yesterday. I got two new living room sets, one for the formal living room, and one for the game room. I already picked up two new bedroom sets, one for each of the kids, and a new casual dining set for the kitchen. Now I just need a formal dining set, a desk and some bookshelves for the library, an LCD TV for over the fireplace, and some incidentals to dress it all up and I'm done! If theres anything left I'll get new bedroom furniture for the wife and I. Man, it is going to be so nice to move into this brand new house with brand new furniture! I'm tired of fixing all the old stuff. Now someone else can have it, or it can stay in the house when they knock it over, I don't care!
Today I've got to sell my bird. Echo is a Sulfer Crested Cockatoo that's been our pet for a few years now, but we just can't keep her any more. I've got a lady coming to look at her today, so we'll see.
I've also got to help get this house straightened up. We've been on the run now for a couple of weeks, and the house is a pit. The wife and daughter have a baby shower to go to, so it's just the boy and I. After all that, I'm forseeing a quiet evening playing video games with my son on the big screen TV.
What's up with you guys today?
Gettin' inta trouble?
Stayin' outta trouble?
What's up?
OH YEAH! Happy Birthday Alex!
And Ken,....Congrats! That's one good lookin' kid there!
KJ: Congratulations Grandpa. I know how you are feeling. My lastest was last Auguest. She and family are visiting grandma and grandpa in England now but I'll get to see her for a couple of days when they get back at the end of the month. How far do you live from this one? I'm about 600 miles from mine.
Hay guys. In case you haven't noticed I've learned how to add the gifs. I tried on the old forum but had no success. This is easyer here. Now I'll probably drive you all nuts with them.
I'll be back later.
Morning all from sunny, hot and humid Syracuse!
CFO called me at 7:30 this morning. Seems that sometime between 1am and 6:30 this morning, her Ford Escape, along with several other vehicles (edit - 7:44pm est: 30-40 vehicles according to police reports now) in the condo complex, as well as signs, were 'tagged' by some with Orange spraypaint. The local cops woke her up to tell her this. Needless to say, she is not a happy camper! And I for one, do not blame her one bit.

Thanks for the well wishes!
Attaboy -
The same goes for you as well, Thanks! Also, if they have it in your area, instead of waiting for the cable company to offer high speed internet, try the phone company. Ours (Verizon) is even going to offer cable eventually
Alex - Not sure if I am late or on time with this.
Well all, just stopped in before heading out to a graduation/birthday party for my cousin aka goddaughter. I am so not looking foreward to it as it's going to be 95 & humid out this afternoon. I wish I could just stay here at the apartment and enjoy the a/c. Oh well, such is life.
Back to work tomorrow afternoon for the 'nightshift' this week.
Enjoy the day all!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010
