Good morning all!
Happy All Saints Day!
I see David, Mike and Jeff and others have stopped in. How goes it guys?
Well, I turned in those old house keys yesterday. That was tough. Lived there a long time, ya know? You can build up some memories in 10 years. But, it's time to start some new memories!
My boy did pretty well on the candy haul last night. We had a few trick or treaters at our house as well, though we still have candy left over from that.
BTW inch, thats some good looking costumes there! The one in the middle of the first pic has got to be the most realistic looking one I've ever seen!
I made a decision the other day. I used to build model cars as a hobby. I have a bit over 300 kits that I've collected over the years and most of them are untouched. I'll never get to them, and I'd rather be railroading, so......I think I'm going to start putting some of them on Ebay and then using the money to get more train stuff. I've got a lot of rare old kits, so I should be able to make some cash. I just don't have time for three hobbies. (trains, model cars, and real cars)
GTM, nice bunch of 7's! Your little turtle friend is cool too!
Well, time to get to doing something!
Later!
nice cars. i like that 254.
had a good night with the trick or treating. i got quite a haul. i did do one thing wrong though. i broke the outside door handle on jeffs car on the passenger front door. it only opens from inside now. hes not mad about it. things happen he says
David Parks I am the terror that flaps in the night!
Good Morning All,
Regular coffee to go please Zoe. Survived Halloween all right - not nearly as many go out around here anymore and our own are too old to go.The shop and rigs survived all right as well with no vandalism this year.50's and high overcast this am, but the sun is peaking through so it should be a good day. MRR has just been backrounds and backround buildings but we need to get on with the museum display and I need to finish backdrops before going further with track work.
Ended up getting sidetracked yesterday with an MGTD needing a distributor building and a bunch of little stuff (like fuel leaking out of everywhere and half the engine wiring off). Neat piece though with a supercharger fitted (probably make 80hp now instead of the original 36).

Well good evening everyone. It's been a while since I was last in som I figured that I would pop by and say howdy.Been a busy couple or three months for us, reno's at my store and now it's that time of year oh well it keeps life interesting to be sure. I see that everyone has survived the Halloween eve festivities , we had our usual 20 kids show up. Living on a dead end has it's ups 'n' downs.
to Ryan , I just had my 35th not all that long ago, seems like it wasn't all that long ago that I was 17 time does march on.
I'll lave everyone with a few Halloween shots, we just finished up our operating year at the musuem with our two saturday night scare fests. they were a huge success the last being this past saturday night, over 1500 people through the musuem doors a wonderfull way to end off the year.
Here's the haunted railgrinder going back to pasture for another year.

DIRR2006. Pull up a chair and have a cup of coffee or a sfot drink on me. I'm glade to see that you are in HO. There are too many of those in iNvisable scale here already. ( Just kidding guys. ) We're really a happy bunch of goof offs that have a good time and try and help out as we can.
I'm modeling a freelance iron ore hauling railroad in the upper penensula of Michigan. Give us some more details on what you are doing. We're nosy.
It's about time for me to get on the road home so I'll say so long for now.
Hey, DIRR2006! Remember, this place is
So you model HO, huh? That's OK, I'll forgive you! (I model N scale)

No, mines Sept. 10. Mines gone already. I think theres a bit of confusion.
grayfox1119 wrote:PC: HAPPY BIRTHDAY you olde hound dog!!! 45 years old, that means you have 20 more years to reach 65 for retirement...ohh oh, you are a youngster, you have to add 10 more months to that for FULL SS benefits. I think you are the same age as Fergie!!!!! You may have to wait until you are 70 because it looks like the Democrats might win control of the House and Senate, and they plan to raise the age to bail out SS.
It wasn't my birthday. It was Ryan's (silverspike). I'm 41, so I've got a little longer wait for all that.

Hey!
PC, thanks for the help. I was looking for smaller one's like Jeff has, but this will do. Check out my sig now! These were the only one's you had I liked. lol

catch you all later,
The ones on the pages towards the back are where most of the smaller ones like Jeff has are at. Glad you found some though! You're welcome to look some more if you want.
Jeff, that is why I count my blessings every day. I try not to take anything for granted, especially my time here on earth. I just hope that Monique and I are lucky enough to retire with enough to get by with our current modest standard of living. In my mind these days I truly feel like I will never really retire, but continue doing something to keep me busy. I think a part time job at Home Depot or Lowe's would be something to do after I "retire".
Dick, between our small 401K's and a small nest egg of savings hopefully they will translate into much larger nest eggs in the next 20 - 25 years. Social Security might be around then, and if so that would be a nice help, but I am not trying to count on it as a major source of income. BTW, what is a 101K?
