Mornin all, just some coffee for now Janie,
Mostly cloudy, high in the mid 50's, SSE wind, with a chance of rain for tonight. Arthritis index suppose to be low, but you couldn't prove it by me hurten a bunch this morning
Seen the 30 day forecast this morning, above normal temps, but also above normal rain. Hope they're right on the temp part anyway.
The rail fanning in Palistine wasn't very good, lot of cars, but no engines. but did find this 200 tonner,
Also got some pics of the yard office there and of a caboose downtown, to post later.

Yep, took the land route all the way there n back. Decide not to go look at that layout today. Don't really have the money and don't know what I'd do with it anyway.
Jerry ,,, Walmart in Paris had the N scale box and hopper cars, think they were $2.69. They don't look to bad either.
Jeff,,, nice looking engine you picked up there. What's it going to be after the paint shop?
RT,, you best be taking things easy for a spell. Hope the doc's come up with something before long to help.

Gotta go now. I'm tired from all the driving today. David was well rested when we got back and why not! He zonked out at Singer and was dead to the world all the way home, about 50 miles, most of it at 70 mph.
I'll be back tomorrow.

Good evening all, we finally got back a little while ago. The trip to Lake Charles was called off becuase the place we were going to there would have been closed by the time we got there, so that's on the list for another day.
I did get this though:
New acquisition. Proto 2000 Southern Pacific E7. If you like SP look now, because it's on it's way to the paint shop.
Some people got nothing better to do with their time except exercise loose morales.
Hello all, we're back from Alexandria. I picked up a new E7 and David got a MRC Tech 280 just like mine.
Well, I would love to stay and chat, but we gotta get on the road again. This is David's day so we're going to DeRidder next and then Lake Charles. We'll probably be back sometime this evening.

JimRCGMO wrote:Good Morning, Janie - I'd like a cup of coffee since Luc's buying, and I brought some cinnamon rolls if any of you would like one. Janie, you might want to hide a few in the back, so the later risers get a chance at 'em.
Good morning all....Cloudy but a little warmer here....I'll have one of those good looking sweet rolls and coffee please.....Didn't make it in yesterday it was our monthly stock up shopping day....Checked Walmart out couldn't find anything I could use in N scale but Wow they had a lot of HO scale cars and trucks you HOers can pick up some neat at great prices....I went to get ink carts for my printer but they were like 27.00 and they had a printer on sale for 19.95 so I just bought another printer I just can't get use to this buy-use-throw away thing.....

Good Morning All,
Already took the CFO to breakfast so just the coffee for me please Chloe.
Fergie - our prayers are with you and your dad. I know it's tough when all you can do is wait and pray. Glad the house thing got settled ok (despite the lawyers). Hang in there, we're pulling for you.
Inch - that must be some van you've got there - drove it all the way to Paris did you? Hopefully you've got some time for railroad stuff this weekend. Good luck with the layout acquisition if you get the chance to see it.
Lisa - how goes it? Hope things are holding up ok on the home front.
Dick - the clouds here are just fine thank you and the tax rate for viewing them is much lower than where you reside. For what it's worth, it's a beautiful clear mild day here today and I hope to get to the trainyard a little later.
All for now the trains will have to wait as #1 son just called and we have to go rescue his car in New Milford - another broken radiator hose. Maybe now he'll change the rest of them as his old gray bearded dad suggested. Time to hook up the tag trailer and warm up the dually. CUL,J.R.
Mornin' all!
I could sure go for some of that coffee and a cinnamon roll! Thanks Chloe!
So how's everyong doing? I see a lot of the regulars have shon up this morning. Hi guys! I see we also had a long lost one show up. Hi Lisa!
Well, I've got to head out in a few. I'm giving a car away today. Giving a buddy of mine who's in need a car I've been tinkering with. It's an '89 Toyota Celica. Runs real good and only has 60,000 miles on it, so as Toyota's go, it's just breaking in.
So what are you guys up to?
Fergie, sorry to hear about dad. I'll be praying for him.
Good morning, just wanted to say a quick Hi to let you know I'm still kicking around out here.
Morning all, coffee an couple of Jim's cinnamon rolls Janie.
A partly to mostly cloudy day, with a high in the 50's, SSE wind. Trip to Paris was ok last night, till it came time to eat. We were going to have mexincan, but it was standing room only, so was the chininess, and itailain, so ended up with pizza, not one of my favorites.
Paul,,,, sorry to hear bout your dad, we''ll put in an extra thought for him and a specail for one you. I know things work out for the best. When the stress gets to bad for me , I head for the woods and find a nice leening tree and talk alone, to who ever might be be there. Never really hear an anserwe , but I know the helps still here to leen on.
Jeff,,, that be a nice dream to ride the Orient Express. A PBS travel had an hour on that train this summer, it sure would be nice.
Heading down to Flat Rock this morning and getting some wood pellets, and hoping to slip back through Palistine and checking out the rail yards there. They tore down the round house a good while back, and I talked to a freind and he thughthe car barn was gone now to. Hope some of the other buiding are still there. The last time I was there was bout 20 years ago, sure wish I had a camera then now.
catch ya'll laters, time fur chores
