On your plain text box, does your browser have some settings turned off (like loading images from other servers, not allowing certain scripts, etc.)? Thought it might be a setting, since sometimes when I upgrade my FireFox, I have to go in and adjust some of the settings which I guess it handles different in the newer version.

Jeff - I have the same trouble as you do with my work computer. This is sent from home and the smilies and options are as normalI can change size or color as before. The work computer allows nothing now and won't space things as I like either. I wonder has something changed with the host site that only affects a few of our puters? J.R.

Good evening all: It’s been raining pretty steadily here for about 6 or 7 hours. Got a walk in after dinner with Rosie-the-dog, and didn’t get too wet. The wind’s getting up a bit now, so I’m glad of the dry and warm indoors. Presents all wrapped and ready, so now it’s time to think a bit about the real meaning of Christmas, and tomorrow is just right for that.

I live in S.Ontario Canada and was modleing a freelance CN railroad, but since the fall have torn down tha layout and have been mostly focused on working on my R/C Tanks which is my other hobby. Well we went to Christmas at my wifes fathers side of the family yesterday. My wife cleaned up! She got and a standing floor model type jewelry case filled with jewelry. It's from her Aunt Lilly, so it's all the real deal. That jewelry case was full too! My wife was overjoyed!
Tonight we have Christmas Eve service at the church and then it's over to the grandparents house for a Christmas Eve dinner and some more presents for the kids.
Later tonight we'll be waiting on the big guy himself!

PC, MoM got one of those large free standing jewelry cabinets for Christmas. Coarse it was empty. Did get all the shopping done, and got it all wrapped. The plan in my neck of the woods is taking the day off. We will just chill out and wait for the rains that are coming. Then tonight it will get colder dropping down to about 35 degrees by morning.

Just to see if it was a time lag problem, I brought the reply box up and let it sit for over 20 minutes. It never changed over to the new box. My browser settings are no different than they were 6 months ago and everything worked then.
They made a change to the forums a few weeks ago, to accomodate IE7. Maybe it's something to do with that?
I too am on a cable connection and the biggest thing that I noticed is that most of the time pages take forever to open. Once they're open they load OK, it's just that opening them can take almost a minute. This doesn't happen on other forums or sites.
Hi Gang: It's cold here and a little snow is still hanging around. We're about ready for Christmas. I need to go to HD to pick up some stuff for the layout for the grandkids Thomas set. I'll go to the LHS and pisk up some more track Tuesday. Just what my S.I.L. needs is another project.

Bill R., very nice card - thanks for the link! On your blue paint, you could check if your local Sears has the computerized paint matching - you'd have to buy a quart probably, and it'd be acrylic, but you might be able to get pretty close to the blue your Geep already has. Worth a try, anyway!

Hey, PC - my shopping's done, but since that one's not gonna be here 'til Tuesday, my wrapping isn't done. But I figure that Sarah and Andy will do their celebrating with me maybe between Christmas and next weekend. I'll be putting the rest of my ornaments on the tree tonight. Put some Christmas music on (don't have all of them ripped into my computer, but what I have is 300+ Christmas Tunes. I figure I can listen a while... Then I'll be heading out for 11 p.m. service (with Communion), and no alarm in the morning.

Tomorrow about noon, a bunch from our church are going to take some Buffalo Wild Wings and deliver them to various people around town who have to work on Christmas Day. Times when I've helped out before we've delivered to the ambulance people, to the airport south of here (had to leave them outside the door because of security regs), to convenience store workers, and other places. Last year, I think we had about 30-40 people who helped deliver. The owner of the BWW place here goes to the church, so I'm guessing they donated the food (or did it at cost), and church members help in the restaurant with packing up the boxes for transport (The restaurant is closed except for getting the food ready to go). Easy to forget that there are those in lines of work who don't get the day off like most of us do. Most everyone's face lights up when the free lunches arrive.
Don't miss the decorated Christmas cookies that Chloe and Zoe brought in - they are melt-in-you-mouth tasty! Yum! I might check back later to sample those rum-balls that OzJim is bringing by.

Just got finished helping the wife with all the Christmas dinner preps for tomorrow, the whole family and all the grandkids (9) will be here ages 10 months to 18. The roast beast is marrinating and now I have my egg nog and Captain Morgan spiced rum, all is well.
DUKE: Time to wake up Duke, Fergie wants to sing Christmas Carols.
PAUL: Now there's a switch, we have grass that is green and long enough to feed a herd of Texas longhorns, and there you are , 1500 miles further SOUTH with a White Christmas. Is the world upside down?
FERGIE: Remember laddie, you and Bill North were dancing on the tables last New Years and the police had to be called.........I hope you behave yourself this year!!!!

Sure doesn't feel like Christmas around New England this year, temps have been above average for 40 days straight, it is 44F today under partly cloudy skies, with winds strong from the West gusting to 25MPH averaging 15 mph.

Gang, I think Jeremy may have solved the mystery of the disappearing pies! Everyday he’s been “dropping by”. I wonder what he may have been “picking up”? Jeremy, to the Coffee Shop, I guess you need little by way of a tour! As you probably know, ther are a couple of other Ontarians who come by, TrolleyRob, and a chap from Ottawa who was in a few days ago, but whose name I didn’t catch. Pity about tearing down the CN layout, as it strikes me that we CN modelers are outnumbered by CP somewhat.

yeah since tearing down the layout I kinda in a way miss it, but I was getting bored of it and thats a sign for me that its time to plan a new one.
