The strawberry plants arrived yesterday, so I have to get those planted like NOW, before the ground freezes, otherwise, no strawberries next June. I ordered the Crawford Train Station from Crow River Products a few days ago and it arrived yesterday, this will be a nice kit to build for my Northern, new England RR layout. Winter projects are mounting fast. PC: Excellent breakfast spread, you da man !!!!! MIKE: I am so sorry to see another young man die in Iraq. One side of me says, why do we fight for a country that can't seem to get it's act together, and may never with 700 years of hatred between Shiites and Sunni Muslims, plus all the added injected interference from Iran which is ALL Shiite, and Syria which harbors terrorists also. I know that if we pull out, we will leave a terrible mess for the majority of good Iraqii people, the country will b e overun with terrorists providing a terrible mess for our grandchildren in the future. The other side of me says, we must help this country become a Democratic stronghold in the Middle east or there will be BIG trouble in the future. I pray for world peace.... See you guys at lunch
Its been much more that700 years. All we have done is went head long into another Nam' and now we don't know how to get out. If you go in to fight you must go in to win its time to either NUKE M or pull out altogether. Have the nukes go off at about 2000ft above ground, this will wipe out the people but save the oil fields which like it or not is why we are there.
The whole thing is turning into a civil/holy war, and when it becomes about who's god is right ours or theirs you will never come to terms.
A democratic stronghold? What are we going to offer them a Wal Mart and 7/11 on every corner?
RT your right its SW
Yea Jeff, slow day in the Coffee Shop today, that just means more steak for you and me!
But my Internet connection at work is blazing....
Hey PC, Thanks for getting my back!
David Parks I am the terror that flaps in the night!
Hey everyone.
First off, I am not a newbie. I just have a new ID. I use to be LilRob2005, anyone remember him. Well, that's me. I haven't been here in so long, I couldn't remember my log-in ID, so I had to create a new one.
So, how has everyone been? As some of you know, I no longer live next to the tracks. Infact, we will be moving again. It's just right down the block (around the corner). Still no room for a layout
I'll check back in later.
Robert
Welcome back Robert!
Have a drink and dinner on the house, PC had the buffet set up this morning!
Jeff and I had a few steaks this afternoon since it was real quiet in the shop.
You will have to get us all caught up on your adventures since the July forum changeover took place.

Howdy y'all; I'm back in again. YAY!
First off; Train Master, Dave Parks. I'm diggin' the Night Wing avatar and sig. I remember watching that show. Great stuff.
So...Homecoming is coming up for us on November 4...And I gots myself a date this year (when do I not?). One of my friends is going to introduce me to a friend of hers. And the best part is...The girl I'm going with LIKES TRAINS! Is that not awesome, or what??? I can't wait for Homecoming! I really hope I hit it off with this girl.
Thought that I would do this too...But my location is off...I'm not 300 miles away from Frederick, MD; I'm less than 50 away.
Yes, I'm glad there isn't a big MTH vs. Lionel debate within the Coffee House. This is a safe haven for me; I could ramble on about MTH if I wanted to, and I wouldn't get flamed...I hope...But no real biggie; I'm N scale.
Okay y'all, I'm outta here. Talk to everyone later.

Hi Gang: Nothing new here. We got a few things done around the house and yard. I mowed the grass in the far back. Maybe for the last time but maybe like the year that I mowed the grass on Christmas day. I guess tomorrow we will haul hay. We have about 150 bales to get in. We were lucky to get this last cutting and should have enough for the rest of the year until we get grass in the spring.
I called the UP about mowing the weeds at our crossing. I need for someone to be there who can watch my back and would be able to get us a window of no trains.
I'm going to head for bed. You all have a great evening and I'll se you tomorrow.
Good Night.
Good Evening All,
just passing through for a night cap Cleo, a nice Newcastle would do me a treat.
Inch - Didn't mean to pile on your troubles or start a debate I just get fustrated as I think most of us do. Sorry.
Jerry - got the new 2007 layouts special. Not sure when I can get a 40 x 60 room with millions in equipment, but the layouts are nice. For myself - I like to spend more time building than planning or dreaming.
Paul - you mean a big deal operation like UP can't mow their own right of way? And how fast do the trains go past? Nosey people would like to know.
All for now, time to get some ZZZZZZZZ's CUL,J.R.
Mornin all, Coffee and and a short stack n saugsage Zoe please

GMT,, there's nothing to be sorry about, I took no offense. There's not much that I like more than a good debate, but politics is one of the no-no's here and this subject could have gotten out of hand quickly.
Did get in some layout time last night and got some track down in one spot where I could. Also put some more mud down in one spot that I didn't like how it came out the last time. Hoping to get in some more when J Birds napping [now where's those knock out pills]. Need ta get ta chores, catch ya'll laters, have a gooden

Good Morning All,
That looks good Jeffrey - I'll have the same please Zoe and a bit of regular coffee as well please. Scraped frost off the windshield this morning - not real ice yet, but close. Didn't feel ambitious enough to work on the layout last night and so I looked through the 2007 Layouts book that just arrived. Lots of nice stuff in there and lots of examples of how to spend the next ten or so years building. I'm happy to get a building erected let alone lighting and an interior at this stage. For that matter, I'm still laying roadbed and track.
Work beckons - another Lotus 7 turning into a major job before my eyes but the stuff that was done to the poor car is unbelievable. No worries though, we're here to fix the problems and make it all better. Time to pick up tools (in this case sawsalls and grinders). CUL, J.R.

Good morning! I’ll have what Jeff is having Chloe, looking like a good breakfast there, and that tall OJ too!
I hope you have your skiff or pirogue ready Jeff, you all been getting more that enough rain the past few weeks eh!
Welcome to the Coffee Shop Dan! Just ask Chloe, or Zoe, or Flo, our always on time diner associates who are ready to serve a hot cup of coffee! Whoever has the top of the page (TOP) is in charge of supplying the $$$ for current meal time, in this case Jeff has the honors, and he has justly offered up a nice breakfast platter, so dig in! PC had the honors yesterday morn and had a breakfast buffet up that was a big hit!
Oh and another tip, Ed has a steady supply of fresh squeeze OJ shipped in on a weekly basis by tank car from South of the Border. Demand is up about this time of year due to the change in weather.
Have a great weekend everyone.
REMINDER: Set your clocks back an hour Saturday evening! Daylight savings time ends early Sunday morning.
Cheers,
Ryan
