Afternoon all and it is the WEEKEND!!!!

I plan on getting some more plywood, power supply for my DCC system, and treated plywood for the ramp that goes up to the side of the garage where I take the bike in and out. If I don’t I might not make it down or up the ramp all the way one of these days.Shock [:O]Dunce [D)]

Ok,it’s Apex time again

These pics are of a frame that holds the engine to a paddle boat and a paddle on each side of the boat. It is only scale and Tony is building it during the winter months and he is also the owner of the property that the track site is on. He does have a model of the engine built that will go into the frame but I didn’t get any pics of it.Ashamed [*^_^*]Oops [oops]

The next two,I think are the best of all I took. The first isn’t bad but I think the second one is the best.

That’s about it for now and I have some that are special to me that I will post tomorrow.

Best to all on sick call and those recoveringAngel [angel]Angel [angel]Angel [angel]

Good eveing gents, cloudy, and off and on rain/showers all day today, but then the front came through like a raging bull on steroids!!! Wind gusts hit over 50 mph here, tree limbs fell across wires and set them on fire in areas of our town, but no outages at our house ....yet!! The power meter I have behind the computer was doing a rock n roll dance for over an hour....110, 120, 115, 112 124, etc as the high winds wreaked havoc with the power lines.

Went to the LHS today in Warren, Ma and picked up 6 more sections of Micro Engineering, weathered code 83 flex track, and three cars that were on sale.

DUKE: That is one nice layout, great pics as usual. I see that you are keeping the stock price up at HD...GOOD MAN !!!!!

JEFF: Do you have a Davis Weather Station at your house? All those readings are the same that I get off my Davis Weather Station up in the back yard. In fact, the Anemometer is spinning like a top right now with every big gust of wind.

OZ: Glad to see you will stay in the CS!!! We enjoy hearing from our friends in Australia, have a meal on my tab Oz.

Time for supper, the CFO just rang the bell, talk later guys,

Jerry You aren’t losing it. Your post might have been taken out with another person that has been posting every now and then and won’t let things go.

OzJim As the others have said, just because you are going to model your part of the world doesn’t mean you can’t stick around here and glad you will.Smile [:)]

You know, I thought that I saw another repeat of that idiot's post show up again this morning, then when I checked back a bit later it was gone.  Glad someone finally reported it.  I think you're correct in your guess that Jerry's post got swept out with the other one.

Nice pix, by the way.  Saved the best ones for last, did you!

Evening all I can't stay long but wanted to give and update for all who have been praying for my MIL, she passed away peacefully Wed. it saddens us but a least her pain is over. As for my husbands Echo Doppler all the tec would tell us is that Tom has a heart murmer(which we knew) and that his heart beat is irregular(which we didn't know) so we should be hearing from Tom's Dr next week. That's it for now.

Evening all!

Erik and I were working all afternoon to delete certain posts from the forum.  We got a bunch, but there's so many that there still might be some we missed.  RT was also reporting about the things going on.  Thanks RT.  It's nice to have support from others.  Most of all, thanks goes to Bergie for keeping this a clean place!

I'd like to say that I'm sorry for my part in the offencive postings as of late.  I was offended and I made it known.  Maybe that wasn't the right action.  I suppose it just spurred things on.  I came to realize that made me a target and you all were innocent bystanders.  Sorry that you all had to catch the flack.

Evening all -

Not much to report today. Weather has been crap as of late and work has been taking up alot of my time. Anyway...moving on...

Lisa -

Prayers to you and your family. Just rememebr we're here and if you need to talk, we'll always listen, even if it's not about the rails. Right all?

Dick -

Sounds like the weather I had early yesterday, is what you've had earlier. Also, I see Francona has been selected as the Mgr for the team going to Japan this winter, replacing Ken Macha (sp?).

Ok all -

  Time for some sleep. Night!

Take care!

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

I love you and miss you Mom. Say hi to everyone up there for me. Rest in peace and comfort. Love, John. 29 March 2017

Lisa Sorry to hear about your MILAngel [angel]Angel [angel]Angel [angel]

PC I guess I was hoping that if he was ignored long enough it would quit and it did get a little farther in between, but there are some that just won’t let things go. It’s too bad that there is always someone in every hobby that will give it a bad name and I guess that is one of the facts of life. Don’t worry about if you dragged us into it or not because I for one don’t look at it that way and it could have been anyone of us.

Talk to you later

Morning all, just some coffee for now Janie,
Another cold star for the day here, but the quessers are saying it won't be to bad a day, warmer with some sun. rain coming in again later this this evening.

Spent most of the last half the day over to the hospital yesterday. Mom had a heart attack during her stress test.
They did the balloon and stint on her and she should come home some time today. They found she had another blockage also, but want to wait a couple weeks to fix it.
Mom had called me this week to find out about stress test I had awhile back, and I told her, she'd know what a heart attack felt like when it was done, but didn't mean in this way.
We checked on Becky while we were there, she's still bout the same. They've put a traek tube in and she seems to breath more on her own now and they put in a feeding tube, hopefuly this help even more
Deb n me are going back over this morning for awhile to check on them both.

Ryan,,, I was a rounder for awhile, and it sure seemed fun at the time, but some of the things, not so much now.
I was bout 9 or 10 when I found, that a twin bed sheet does not work for a parachute off a 32' barn roof.

Colby,,, thanks for the public anoucement, now I now whats wrong with me

Duke ,,, thanks for all the pics from apex. Tony has a real nice shop there.

RT and PC,,, I reported him also to Bergie. Thought the same thing you did bout who was doing it.

PC,,, no problem on your part.

Lisa,,, sorry to here of your MIL. We'll keep ya'll in out thoughts and be hopeing the best for your husband  too.

Best get onto chores, with every thing thats going on I'm already behinder. Was planing on a trip to Effingham today for some shopping and rail fanning, but. Maybe I can get by a couple yards in Terre Haute afore we leave there. Catch ya'll laters maybe.

Morning All:

Lisa: My condolances on the passing of your MIL. I'm sure you will all miss her. I'll keep your hubby in my thoughts.

PC: It isn't the first time I've been caught in the fall out. You did good and I thank you.

We hauled hay yesterday. Made two  trips and finally got home about 9:30pm. I've still got to unload the trailers tonight. Not much else to report. Of course I'm at work now and will shortly have to go out and get the joint ready for our guests.

Jeff, you take care now. Rest is important to the healing process.

James: I'm happy to see that you have decided to stick around. We need to know that your side of the world hasn't fallen off. With PCs martian hanging around we can't be too carefull.

As the old indian said " I go now. " See you all later.

The man's sharp. I do indeed have a weather station. Here's the weather for my area today.

Wind Chill:  52°F

Humidity:  75%

Dew Point:  46°F

So Far Today
High:  53°F
Low:  52°F
Rain:  N/A"
Rain Rate:  N/A"/h
Gust:  5mph E

High: 72 °F
Low: 55 °F

Now on with business.

Good morning, I'll have bacon and eggs today with a bit of orange juice.

I'm going to try to get some work done on the layout today. A general pickupo of things which shouldn't be there followed by sealing the surface of the drywall compound with shellac. After that's dry, a coat of brown paint followed by green in areas where foliage will go down. I'll then give Dave Volmer's sloppy method a try.

Ditto!  And thanks again to all for your support.

Lisa, sorry to hear of your loss, and the medical troubles.  Our bodies are so frail, aren't they?  I'll continue praying for you and yours.  I posted this once before, but I think it applies here too.  This was written by a friend of mine, Bart, a great Christian songwriter.

You're in a better place, I've heard a thousand times
And at least a thousand times I've rejoiced for you
But the reason why I'm broken, the reason why I cry
Is how long must I wait to be with you

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

Help me Lord cause I don't understand your ways
The reason why I wonder if I'll ever know
But, even if you showed me, the hurt would be the same
Cause I'm still here so far away from home

I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
I've never been more homesick than now

In Christ, there are no goodbye
And in Christ, there is no end
So I'll hold onto Jesus with all that I have
To see you again
To see you again

And I close my eyes and I see your face
If home's where my heart is then I'm out of place
Lord, won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow
Won't you give me strength to make it through somehow

I've never been more homesick than now

I hope you find comfort in Him.

So, whats on the adgenda for the day everyone?

Me, I'm catching up on schoolwork.  Got lots to do.  Gotta do a few hours of schoolwork, then go back to the house and pick up the kid that stayed the night last night with my son, drop him at home, chill for a couple of hours with the family, then head to church where we pick up another kid to stay the night with my son.  He's quite the social butterfly I guess!

Well, I best get to it!

Later!

Lisa sorry to hear the sad news Lisa, i'll be thinking about you husband.

James the BHP operation would be great to model but the cost of shipping the Ozzy stuff here would be to much,, for now anyway

Good morning everyone, we have a crystal clear blue sky this morning, a cold 42F, and winds are gusting to over 30mph, and it is snowing in northern New England.
Jeff has his weather station reporting from Louisianna, and I will give you the update from the Northeast. Jeff's report will let everyone north and east of him know what is coming, and mone will let Luc, Fergie, Der John, and all the New Englanders know what what is here/coming.

Observation Time: 10:30am EDST( Eastern Daylight Savings Time)
SKY: Clear
Temp: 43.5F/6.5C
Wind: NW gusting to 30mph
DP: 44F
RH: 58%
BAR Pressure: 29.80 (S) Steady
RAIN/SNOW: N/A

LISA: Our thoughts and prayers are for you and your family. We are so sorry for your loss and we continue to pray for your husband.

INCH: WOW, parachuting off a 32' barn roof!!!! I'll bet you broke a few bones and crushed a few vertibre on that jump!!!
Glad to hear that mom survived the angioplasty, it's a good thing they did the stress test!!! And Becky should get stronger with the breathing aid and pure O2.

RYAN: How is the project going? I did not receive a project progress report by 5pm yesterday, you know, the week ending report?

DUKE: Good man!!!! Keep those HD stocks going up.

RT: I know just how you feel. I try to ignore these people, I don't want to fuel their fire, but they really can p... me off at times, and I have to let them have it. This is a very nice forum with great guys, truly an extended family, the way I feel anyways, and I will defend our family.

PC: What's on the agendas today you ask...well lets see, coffee in the CS, then help son #3 fill his sand barrels for winter ice and snow ( 6% grade driveway ) . Then, I need to continue loading wood into the 2nd bay of the garage for the woodburner. Next, attend the 4pm Mass, I am lectorer today and cfo is EM. Then, we are off to diiner at the Olde Mill with friends. That should just about take care of the day.

STEVE: WOW, you are a brave man.....the peppers will clear your sinuses and THEN some!! I love Curry seasoning, I place it in all by soups and on chicken...I love curried chicken !!!!

Ok, now to bring in the wood, the sand project is done !!!

Good Morning all [or whats left of it]....Don't have a fancy weather station but its sunny this morning with rain coming in later...I use to have to take care of weather stats at the station and learned how to read radar we had a old air craft radar that only scanned a 1/4 of a section at a time...Had to tilt it lots of ground cluter..You could follow a storm up to about a couple of miles from town then we lost it till it passed over...We had a monitor set up out in the lobby with a couple of chairs and it wasn't anything to see 5 or 6 farmers out there for a hour or two just watching the screen.....

Well I got the tunnel finnished need to "plant" some trees and touch up some spots....I am not real happy with the portal I was trying for a natural blasted out of the rock look but can't seem to get it look like what I can see in my mind..anybody else every have that problem...

Mike...Your mom is in our thoughts and prayers..If you need anything give us a holler...

Sallie got up feeling good made oatmal for breakfast then started feeling bad and went back to lay down and I need to go check on her...You all have a good day...
