Walthers Transition Sleeper
Posted by wholeman on Monday, April 27, 2009 10:26 AM

Has anyone tried installing the light kit in the new version of this model.  I can't get it to close completely.  I can barely get the couplers installed.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

I figured out to solve the situation.  For the time being, I removed the light "filters" from the light kit.  The shell fits perfectly.  I have included a photo to show the difference.

The image on the left is a Superliner II sleeper with  the light filters in place.  The transition sleeper is on the right with the light filters removed.  I painted the interiors in both cars and added figures to the just the sleeper.  I have not had a chance to add any figures to the transition sleeper.  I took the photo in pitch black in order to show the difference of the light sources.

Please tell me what you think.

Thanks

See our previous thread from last week for shared frustration/experiences/suggestions

I've raved famously about these Superliners, not sure the light kit is their best. There's not much to it compared to the ones I installed for Budd cars (Same price?). Now I have 7 new Plated Superliners and 4 of them light.

Mine doesn't move.......it's at the station!!!
