I model the B&O, C&O, and some N&W, in a heavy industry setting (steel manufacturing in a Great Lakes harbor town). Trying to find some excuse to have steep grades so I can run helpers.

I'm currently between layouts, hope to have [at least] the track laid by the end of this summer. The benchwork is up, along with the steel mill modules from the layout I had in my former house. Been busy these last 3 years building some HUGE structures (ore boat, ore bridge, full-sized blast furnace) to go on the new layout.

Hi guys! After three years I'm finally getting used to having a basement (dry!) and enough real estate to build a layout (with the Boss's approval!). Always been partial to CB&Q 1950-1965 but here in Missouri its mostly flat land. I'm looking at a What If scenario of the Q's big steam in an eastern coalfield setting with Sandpatch grade thrown in for good measure. Will have links to photos of the layout in progress soon.

drive-in theater.[:)]I'm working on the chemicals plant right now.Then I'll

I am between layouts at the moment the last indoor one being demolished about six months ago after along period of lack of use.
dont know what the nextone will be thought about a better version of the one demolished. which was Caledonian railway but am now looking for a small layout plan to play with a bit to see what I come up with.

I'm modeling the Union Pacific (along with SP, ATSF, WP, D&RGW, and CB&Q) in the 40s and 50s somewhere in the west. I'm thinking of Omaha or Cheyenne to LA. I still haven't thought of a name, though. If anyone has any suggestions, post them here or e-mail me.

My layout is freelanced. It could probably represent any area of Canada or the United States. I have large collection of all different trains and I basically just run whatever I might feel like at the moment on the layout.

I'm in initial stages of modeling L&N's "Hook and Eye Line" also known as L&N's old Atlanta to Knoxville line which was run more as a branch after L&N gained control of N. C. & StL. (which had leased trackage rights on the much 'faster' and easier W & A route 'owned by the state of Georgia). Most of L&N's traffic in and out of Atlanta was then divertefd to the 'new line' I am also incorporating a portion of Southern's Murphy Branch which ran from interchange with L&N in Murphy, NC to Asheville, NC. Although I plan to model prototype scenes and industries, especially extensive marble quarry operations, copper mining, and timber, I am taking significant liberties with history and will be depicting the route as a jointly owned (by Southern and L&N) bridge route that expanded during WW2, rather than declined as so many branches did in the late 40's and 50s. It will be set in approx 1949 and will depict the rugged terrain in western NC, nothwest GA and southeastern TN and will have its own fictionalized name, paint schemes, logo; much of the equipment will be of L&N or Southern parentage repainted, reletterd and renumbered to depict a separate railroad entity.

My first layout was, as my handle here suggests, MoPac--a freelanced town along the Sedalia Sub in west central Missouri in 1984 (UP merger era with flaming chickens and cannaries as well). My new layout, presently under construction, is BNSF Wichita Falls Sub from Fort Worth to Wichita Falls, Texas in summer 2000 with live interchanges with UP, Fort Worth & Western, and Wichita Tillman & Jackson.

I model the SP Siskiyou Line (southern Oregon) in the 1980s. I also model a proto-freelanced version of the Coos Bay branch, built out of Roseburg as originally planned in the 1890s ... not as actually built in the early 1900s out of Eugene.

I model the C&O in a fictional scene of Southern Ohio and Northern WV during 1960 moving coal from the mines with a few extra indutries to boot. Passenger service is also in the layout. My roster is 96% GP7's and 9's. There is some B&O motive power in the scene as well.

I am modelling a freelance layout with some specific scenes based in reality. For example I am in the process of creating an accurate kit bashed moel of Mine number 15 in White City, Illinois. This is where my wife's grandfather was killed in the late 1930's. The mine head no longer exists, but I have many pictures of it to work from. Many of the other bulidings are still standing so I have been able to get a good idea of the spatial relationship of them and some of the destinctive architectural features. My roster is mainly CB&Q and Wabash.
