1.) PCM GN S-2 4-8-4 if they ever get around to it, they have two already sold. A fair weather cab and a winterized cab. Don't know how they are going to fit in with the Portage Northern, but then again, I can make that up as I go.
2.) A dozen or so Kadee 55-ton offset side in Milwaukee colors
3.) some DPM wall panels. Got a corner module I have to finish and I need to add a second story to the trolley barn and some other downtown stuff.
4.) A good 1930's fire engine
5.) 2 more Erie B steam shovels
6.) 12 HO M3 Stuarts
7.) any thing else that relates to the 30's or 40's that I can stuff on the layout

Modeling the Southern Pacific in the 1960's-1980's
An airbrush, and compressor. That pretty much takes care of that...
With my current income I'm aiming on getting the parts and decoder for my S4 so I'll have that ready for Springfield. And once I get that job I am needing I can afford Rapido Osgood Bradley Coaches!

I wish for Overland to release the BNSF Glacier view in HO for my BNSF business train. and Two BLI Blueline BN SD9's.

MP 53 on the BNSF Topeka Sub
Been Nothing Since Frisco (BNSF)ow for my list-that-will-never-happen list, A 8x20' HO double loop layout complete with full scenery, all locos with DCC and a Digatrax Zepher system to run them, and (of course) cars to go with them, all the cities and industries correct for 1950's Santa Fe line in the Midwest with a 4x8' staging and rail yard w/a round house, and loco repair facilities.
That's about what was on my list when I was a kid. Keep with the hobby and you may get there one day. Of course it will not just show up under the tree. You will have to make it happen. Visualization + Desire = Reality...or so I have been told.
My list:
box of Atlas code 83 flex track
enough materials to handlay 27 turnouts using Joe Fugates method
27 Tortise switch machines
1X4's and plywood
screws, glue and nails
etc.
Heres my list:
1. Walthers P1K BN GP15-1 i need swicthers!
2. Genesis BN F45 sound or non still up for debate.
3. Athearn RTR GP50 BN Whiteface! Gotta love BN whitefaces.
4. Athearn RTR BN Cupola Caboose.
5. Athearn RTR BN 5-Pack Bethgon Coalporters(silver).
6. Athearn RTR IC SD40 Death Star Scheme. Gotta love some IC!
7. GETTING MY BECHWORK DONE!
Limiting it to 10 items:
1. Sound decoder for an Alco C424
2. Athearn Genesis F45s with sound/DCC
3. P2k GP30 with sound/dcc, and P2k BN GP30s 2223 and 2216
4. BN F-units with sound/DCC (seems like athearn only made, i dunno about 5)
5. Bicentennial BN units. (Atlas has the U30C and the Cabeese, athearn has the SD40-2, but no one makes a good SDP40 in plastic)
6. Alco C636s and Alco C425s in BN. (atlas makes the later, but not in BN, the former is only in brass)
7. P2K GP20s in BN with sound DCC.
8. BLI SD7/9 in BN
9. Atlas SD24s in BN.
10. lots more 70s era freight cars.
Stuff out of my hands:
1. an end to the limited production crap. (seems like there were less than 10 of some of the above units that have been available)
Also, being able to finish all my projects
Vincent
Wants: 1. high-quality, sound equipped, SD40-2s, C636s, C30-7s, and F-units in BN. As for ones that don't cost an arm and a leg, that's out of the question....
2. An end to the limited-production and other crap that makes models harder to get and more expensive.
tatansBy the looks of things I guess the recession (yes, there really is one !) has not affected any on this forum, let's hope the guys that lost their life savings, their house and their job will get a break.

While I feel badly for them, it doesn't change the fact that for me, and for others on this forum, things haven't changed. In my case, I already have most of the materials needed to build a layout, so even if things DO get a little tighter, procuring the rest (benchwork materials) shouldn't be terribly difficult.

Only one thing on my Christmas wish list, but it won't be in until January, so my delayed Christmas present to myself will be the Sunset Z-6 4-6-6-4 in Great Northern garb.
Of course if one of my relatives happens to hunt up another M-4 Yellowstone or another Rio Grande L-131 2-8-8-2, I wouldn't object at all, LOL!
Tom
Tom View my layout photos! http://s299.photobucket.com/albums/mm310/TWhite-014/Rio%20Grande%20Yuba%20River%20Sub One can NEVER have too many Articulateds!
On my list are:
ESU EcOS Command Station (already bought last week)
BLI UP 2-10-2
Athearn Genesis SF F7 A-B-B-A (late December release so I hope they still make it before Christmas) equipped with Loksound Decoders in all 4 Units.
The only train-related thing I want for Christmas this year is the space to build a layout along two walls of our second bedroom.
I want that Walthers Empire Leather and Tanning kit. That looks like a nice complex for $100!
Hoople-Love that pic! (The SPICE must flow!)
No one buys me trains but the Atlas GP40-2's are due in December so I'll be buying as many as I can afford. I already have one unnumbered unit payed for (pre-ordered) thought the Rio Grande Modeling and HIstorical Society.
Rio Grande. The Action Road - Focus 1977-1983
Piko's new large scale 0-6-0 tanker, and a couple of power blocks so I can finish my latest bashes.
Have fun with your trains
My wish is for BLI to bring the GS4 back into this year, not June 09. Maybe a good 8th grade graduation present? lol.
Atlas ACF 23500 gallon tank cars. Republic in 4 numbers and GAF in 4 numbers.
Wait.. it's all out of production. Nuts.
Otherwise I dont have a christmas train list. It's either boughten and paid for this month or coming in next year because of back orders, limited run orders, pre-orders, announcement orders, reservations and stacks of stuff that is not going to arrive until April 2009 at the earliest.
Oh well, maybe next Christmas I will have all the stuff filled by then.
A Job! I paint houses. Then I could afford my hobby.
Glenn
I'm wishing by then I have my layout put back together and can run trains again.
Oh, and maybe I'll get some stryofoam to use for terrain on the new section. (Does Santa follow these forums, or am I just engaging in wishful thinking? )
Im hoping I can get one of those new Atlas GP38s with sound in the CSX colors they announced recently.
Tom, I hope your wish is granted, and Luke's, too. Mine won't be, but I can be patient as Tom was patient. I was hoping for a QSI-equipped Sunset CPR Selkirk, but production has been put off indefinitely.

More of a wish: I would love to see the BLI L-4 Mohawks come early:
