MIRROR .. MIRROR, DO I HEAR MIRROR .
Just kidding Jeff, that is a really great looking pair.
And now with that photo I really do believe you. LOL.
But you are going to have to renumber one of those units.
By the way, what is the name of the station that we can park out fifth wheel beside..
Time is getting close. We still don't have snow here but CN Charlie is really digging out.
Night all, will check back in from work tomorrrow.
Johnboy out..............................
The "Wobbly" wobbled tonight. Got to run seven different trains.

We have met the enemy, and he is us............ (Pogo)
LSWrr PC, someone needs to sit you down and explain life to you!!! You get a guitar, she gets a hot tub. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE IS GETTING AFTER you bring the motorcycle home??????? I would go get the second mortgage application now. Ok, I was just kidding PC (but don’t say I didn’t warn you, LOL!)
Awww, c'mon now, give me some credit. Her hot tub costs more then my guitar, amp, and motorcycle put together......and don't think I didn't point that out!
Evening Gang: I got the two flats that are getting the dark colors painted. One is box car red for the Kos Lake and South Clear Fork RR. That's my road. The other is for the Nrthern Pacific and is black. Hey Sue I need to know a number for it.
I had to repair the fence I put up the other day. One of the cows got into the hay by tearing up the lower two wires. I got the wires up again all right and then decieded to ad some more fence posts. The ground is really hard so I didn't drive them as deep as normal. While I was driving the posts I managed to break the top wire. The post driver hit it and cut it on the bump on the "T" post. If it isn't one thing it's another.
After the fence incident I got the last of the old flat cars to the depot and unloaded the weed sprayer. Now I'll haul it to the shop tomorrow and strip the trucks and couplers. These will go onto one of the short gons.
Well I think that I'll head for bed.
Robby P.Jeff, what are you going to do with the engines?

"Rust, whats not to love?"

Evening, everyone. Been gone a little while--nothing major, just reeling from the Elections, LOL! Nope, not a Political Message from SunnyCal, except I'm still jumping up and down about Prop 1 which passed very handily (High-Speed Rail) and wondering how a state so AUTOMOBILE crazy could even pass it. Cheers to us! Now if we can get it going--Northeast Corridor, WATCH OUT!
Couple of other Propositions are still dividing the state, one on Animal Rights, one on--oh well, you probably all know about it by now. Animal Rights won, the other won but by a VERY slim majority, which means we'll probably be fighting about it for the next few years. Sorry, shouldn't talk about it, but it's been the most divisive issue here in SunnyCal since the 'fifties, when we wanted to divide the state into two at the Tehachapi's. WHEW!!
Well, the Great Roseville Model Railroad Show starts tomorrow, and I'm headed over there and pray for me, okay? I'm the guy that's always hitting the Used Brass Table, and I need more locomotives like a hole in the head, but the last time I was there, I picked up my now Infamous "Basket Case Yellowstone" for a song, and I just KNOW there's another 'orphan' waiting for me. Luckily, I have to play Mass tomorrow evening, so I can't spend that much time over there, but it only takes a MINUTE, I've found.
Still working on the Military train--the tank model kits I got in from Walthers just don't look that sharp--either that or the Sherman just wasn't the most fascinating WWII tank ever made.
Oh, and something happened this morning: Found out that the SPCA has a "Wegie" kitten, from a lady friend of mine that volunteers there. Little male guy. In case you don't know what a "Wegie" is, it's a Norwegian Forest Cat, which looks like a Maine Coon (only with a Scandanavian accent, LOL!) and is a pretty rare breed here in the USA right now. How a "Wegie" kitten got to the SPCA around here is really mysterious, but Lois says that the former owner swears that it is, so I'm heading down there to take a look at the little guy. Haven't told Spooky yet, and if it really IS a "Wegie", it'll be interesting to see her reaction. I know she wants a buddy (so do I) so we'll see what happens. Wierd thing, Maine Coons are also starting to show up occasionally at the SPCA, from former owners who either have moved to where they can't keep cats, or elderly folks who have to give them up. But either way, it's about time that both Spooky and I get a little guy companion. She's tired of stealing cabeese by herself, she's got to break someone else into her favorite hobby, LOL!
So we'll see what happens. Anyway, I'll report on the Roseville show tomorrow night after Mass. Should be interesting. I can't spend TOO much, I've still got that Z-6 coming in as my Belated Christmas Present come January--assuming Sunset's calendar is still on schedule.
Best to all, prayers to those in need.

Hello Sue ... I have a Texaco station. I'm not sure who had a Standard station.
GARRY
HEARTLAND DIVISION, CB&Q RR
EVERYWHERE LOST; WE HUSTLE OUR CABOOSE FOR YOU
Chloe, I don't suppose that there is any of Philip's pie left. I couldn't get on the internet yesterday so I missed out.
Jerry, I will try to get some photos this weekend to see if the camera is working again.
Garry, Was it your layout that had the standard oil service station? That was a great piece of history.
Jim, Which Accurail cars are you working on? We have a few kits that always seem to be at the bottom of the pile.
Terry, Does that mean that you are going ahead with the tour? You got things cleaned up?
My goal this weekend is to put a floor & ceiling in the background building. The adapter for painting came, so some painting might happen, too.
Later, Sue
Morning All
I did a write up for my layout for the tour next weekend take a look and tell me what i left out
Nov 15
Noon-6pm From I-10 West take Antoine North to Westview, turn Right on Westview go one block to Silber
turn Left on Silber go 3 short blocks to Housman turn Left on Housman you will see Housman
Elementary on the right side of the street. Go straight, through the stop sign at Housman and Afton.
Follow Housman all the way to the end. 7315 A is the last duplex on the left park in the street and
enter the front door. This is an HO scale layout depicting the C&O operations in the New River
Valley centered around Thurmond, WVA in the Steam to Diesel transition era. It is a single track
Main Line around the room using Code 100 rail with 2 passing sidings and a loads in empties out
operation between a coal mine and a power plant. It can operate using DC or DCC using a Digitrax
Zephyr and 2 hand throttles. Scenery is 98% complete. There is a duck under entrance to the
bedroom size layout. With enough room for 4 people at a time. There is waiting room, and the
layout can be viewed via closed circuit TV using a Mini Cam mounted on a rail car. This layout is
18 months old. This is a good example of what can be done in a small bedroom by an average modeler.

Nice job on the SDP40F, Jeff !!!!!
Jim CG .... I do have some ATSF trains too. I see you are chowing down again!
Recently I finished retro-fitting my SDP40F A unit with the more modern Athearn hex drive and today I finished repowering the B unit which to date had been a dummy. A close comparison should reveal to you how this was done.
The A unit:

Morning, Zoe, PC, Lee, Jerry. Garry Zoe, I'll have some scrambled eggs, strips of bacon and some toast with blackberry jam, oh yeah, and cup of coffee and glass of orange juice. Thanks!
PC, when you score big, you score BIG! Wanna adopt me? So, when are we all invited by to try out the hot tub (after you and the family have, of course)?
Jerry, guess that supergluing will work, but I sure hope you don't have to replace the coupler anytime soon. Sounds like you're making good progress there.
Lee, if you had a big bunch of trash bags, you could really 'clean up' by taking the cans by your recycling place for Oh, and my birthday comes up a week after your son's is (the Sunday after Thanksgiving Day this year).
Garry, I liked that piece you linked to last night - soooo true! I would agree with you, that the passenger trains in the 1950's looked better than some of the current crop does. But then again, I've liked the Santa Fe liners that they had.
My birthday was enough before Christmas that I got a chance to play with whatever toys I'd get for my birthday, and if I broke 'em or got bored, by Christmas I'd have another chance at some. Nah, I usually wasn't that hard on my toys...
Decided that I can put together my Rix grain bin this weekend - that won't require kitbashing to fit to space when I go to locate it on my layout. Want to start on some of my Accurail kits, too. I was thinking this morning (in the thinking room...) and decided that I'm going to ask for my birthday and Christmas for a digital camera (or funds toward it, anyway). I'm tired of having to settle for cell phone pics (and that level of 'quality') in order to post a pic here (or anywhere).
It's Friday, and I'm hoping for a nice calm day. It's nice and sunny today, now that the rain front has moved through, and the fall colors are really nice out. One of my co-workers said he wanted to play hookey today (but he came in anyway). I can understand that!
Let me join you guys there. Zoe, could I have a refill on my coffee, please? Hope everyone has a fun day and some MRR'ing time this weekend (including you, Robby!)
Blessings and prayers for those in need of 'em,
Jim in Cape Girardeau
Hello everybody....
If you have time for humor, you may wish to click the link I posted last night. I thought it to be funny enough to share with the diners.
Another note. I see CA voters approved HIGH SPEED RAIL connecting LA and SF. Bravo to them. I think it is past time for the country to get back on track. It bothers me to this day, that USA replaced its passenger trains with highways. Hopefully, common sense is returning to America. We will never again see Burlington's fleet of Zephyrs or Santa Fe's fleet of Chiefs for example. America had the best trains in the world in teh 1950's.
It's a good thing we have model railroading! Zephyrs continue serving the Heartland Division!
Happy Model Railroading!
LSWrr My birthday is 11DEC, My Mom and Brother share the 17th. Mom had a rule when I was growing up that birthdays and Christmas had to be separate, however that didn’t stop people from wrapping my birthday presents in Christmas paper. My Son’s birthday is the 23 NOV some years it falls on turkey day some years not.
My mom has the same rule. Her birthday is the day after Christmas. My daughters birthday is Nov. 28, so hers is sometimes on turkey day, or real close to it.
Mornin' all!
Well, I caved! I bought a hot tub. It'll be about a month before it's here.....they have to build it. Anybody priced those things lately? Those prices are INSANE! I worked it though.........I not only have my new girlfriend that I showed you the other day, but Sunday we're going to go pick up the motorcycle I've been drooling over. THAT WORKS!
So whats up with all of you?
Jeff, I got it yesterday, thanks.

The Browns stadium is directly across the street from where I work. I pulled in yesterday morning and the parking lots were full of tail gate parties at 0700hrs in the morning. Gotta love the Browns Fan base. I pulled in this morning and the streets were littered with plastic cups, beer/pop cans up to my ankles.
